Just eight laps in and Logan Sargeant has just been lapped. He's on softs and they are just not working on the circuit as it is now.
Sergio Perez was 14 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen a couple of laps ago but already that is down to nine seconds...
Max Verstappen is flying now and he picks off Pierre Gasly to move into third, although Verstappen has so much pace he almost clattered into the back of his former team-mate.

Jack: Perez just went round everyone like a cheat code then
Well how things change quickly!
It looked like we were watching a race where Max Verstappen disappeared into the distance early doors but that bit of heavy rain has made things very interesting.
Hamilton (before he pitted): "We should've come in man, it's very wet."
Engineer: "Copy Lewis. We're going to stay out, we're going to have to brave this."
Sergio Perez has a whopping lead now. He is 12 seconds ahead of Zhou Guanyu, who is second and 14 seconds of his team-mate Max Verstappen, with the top 10 all now on inters.
The rain appears to be stopping but Lewis Hamilton is now pitting. He's right down in dead last...
Lewis Hamilton questions whether they should have pitted for a change of tyres but he's told to stick it out for now.
But Sergio Perez, who pitted for inters, is back out and flying and he is into the lead!

Max has done a really good job to be the lead car, usually you are gauging what the car in front is doing in these tricky conditions as it's so unpredictable.
Now Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso pit from first and second place respectively.
George Russell rolls the dice and stays out. He is now the race leader!

It is absolutely chucking it down as Perez has come in and I'm expecting him to put on some intermediate tyres and so has one of the Ferarris and Alpine.

Matthew Murnaghan: How many laps till everyone goes on Inters?
Fernando Alonso is the one really gaining at the moment as he has now passed Lando Norris and is up into second!
Max Verstappen is given the option to pit if he wants but he is staying out for now.
Charles Leclerc pits and the crew are not ready! The tyres are not out and it is a long stop again for Ferrari.
Oh wow, that light rain has quickly turned into VERY heavy rain. The track is soaking now but the top 10 are staying out for now...

The rain has started to fall just very fine drops at the moment, a little bit breezier as well, it's been quite calm, now that sea breeze is picking up does that mean the rain is going to move on quickly or more rain clouds in the area coming our way.
Rain drops are hitting the camera as Max Verstappen is already powering away out in front.
Alex Albon had a bad start and has a lost a place but in contrast Fernando Alonso has had a belting getaway and he's up to third.
LIGHTS OUT!
Max Verstappen is away well and leads into the first corner.
Everyone is in position on the grid. Max Verstappen got into his position pretty quickly so had a bit of a wait as the others arrived.
