Kevin Magnussen is continuing to lose places as now Lando Norris passes him to get back into the points.
Max Verstappen is now three seconds down the road from Sergio Perez, who needs to start thinking about Fernando Alonso, who is right on the tail of the Red Bull.
Charles Leclerc loses two places in three corners as Lewis Hamilton picks him off to move into 12th and then Oscar Piastri swiftly follows suit.

David Mateer: So much has happened I thought I was watching the highlights.
Fantastic move by Oscar Piastri as he spies an opportunity to dive down the inside of Valtteri Bottas and he is into 14th. Lewis Hamilton is the next car ahead of him.
Oh and he's just done the fastest lap of the race with 1:15.783.
Max Verstappen is pulling away out in front. He is 1.6s ahead of Sergio Perez.
"What the **** was that."
It hasn't gone great for Lando Norris so far. He started second but is currently 11th.
Alex Albon, still on the softs he started on, passes Kevin Magnussen and is into seventh.
Albon, though, was not happy with Magnussen one lap earlier after the Haas moved under braking with Albon behind him.

He (Lawson) has had lots of things thrown at him, he's had to jump in in Free Practise in really really tricky conditions, a tough qualifying, and now he's had a tough start to the race, I think he's done a good job, because it's not easy to keep a Formula 1 car on track in changing conditions.
In comes the safety car and Max Verstappen slams his foot down on the accelerator. Sergio Perez has defending to think about as Fernando Alonso attempts a move for second.
The safety car is coming in and Sergio Perez will be primed to try and pounce on Max Verstappen.

Jeremiah Kariuki: As much as Mercedes need to improve their car, they really need to improve strategies too. They have been losing easy points on that. Today, any point they collect will be sheer luck. They have overcooked.

Logan Sargeant's car is now removed from the circuit but there is a little bit of tyre barrier damage that needs some work doing, so I expect at least another lap maybe two laps behind the safety car.
Let's have another top 10 standing as the cars continue to circulate behind the safety car:
1) Verstappen
2) Perez
3) Alonso
4) Gasly
5) Sainz
6) Zhou
7) Magnussen
8) Albon
9) Ocon
10) Tsunoda

Lengthy dry spell now developing. Next cluster of incoming showers over the North Sea are ~40 minutes away, so impossible to judge if they'll remain a risk at current lead time.

Alex Albon yet to stop on that soft compound tyres. Initially he was one of the big losers, but having held on, he's found himself back on eighth.

Looking at our pictures from here and also out of our commentary box it still looks a little bit dark overhead, the flags just keep changing directions, it's quite blustery out there. I think maybe there could be a little bit more rain on its way.
Logan Sargeant is sat on the grass and although he's got his helmet on you can feel the frustration. This had the potential to be a great weekend for him after getting into Q3 for the first time but two trips into the barriers have put paid to that.
Sergio Perez asks if more rain is on the way and he is told there are "cells" of them 35 minutes away.
Alex Albon, who is eighth, hasn't pitted at all yet. He's on 19-lap old softs.
