Great work by Pierre Gasly as he gets the better of Carlos Sainz and is into fourth.
Here comes a flurry of stops as the heavy rain starts to fall!

In Formula 1 you've got two options for the wet tyre, you've got the wet tyre which has a blue band round the outside of it, and the intermediate tyre. Your wet tyre is a little bit pointless, you need an absolute downpour, you need puddles everywhere to use that wet tyre. Most drivers feel more comfortable on the intermediate tyre.
Lap 60/72

2) Perez
3) Alonso
4) Sainz
5) Gasly
6) Albon
7) Hamilton
8) Russell
9) Ocon
10) Norris
Oh my!
Riding with Lewis Hamilton's onboard, we see George Russell just ahead and the latter touches the grasses and has a real wobble before Russell superbly saves it.
Hamilton is much faster than Russell, however, and the Mercedes pair trade places.

One person to watch out for if the rain doesn't come or one to watch out for if the rain does come is Alonso, his last lap was eight tenths quicker than Perez, and that gap is coming down quite quickly.
More Turn 1 success for Lewis Hamilton as this time he sees off Esteban Ocon and is up into eight.
George Russell is one place ahead but the coming rain could be particularly bad news for Russell on those hards.

Looking at the radar that's heavy rain that is on it's way.
Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris have been battling for large periods of this race and Hamilton, on new softs, gets past his compatriot down into Turn 1.
Wheel-to-wheel tussle between Alex Albon and George Russell down the main straight before Albon gets the move done and he is into six.
What a drive by Albon today.
Yuki Tsunoda, potentially with front wing damage, continues to go backwards as now Lewis Hamilton passes him to get back into the points.

I've just had a text message as well from my spy and a ton of rain, and that's in capitals, is expected in 10 minutes.
This could make things interesting as there's now reports of heavy rain before the end of the race.
"Front wing got damaged, check wing."

I'm expecting to hear some angry Yuki radio approaching very soon as Albon flies past him down the straight. I think Alpha Tauri need to box now.
Alex Albon, now on mediums, is making moves once again as he gets past Yuki Tsunoda, who thinks he's got a bit of damage to his front wing.

If he (Alonso) doesn't leave too much time behind Carlos Sainz I reckon he might be able to have a little pounce on Sergio Perez.
Slow pitstop, no problem for Fernando Alonso as he makes a move down the inside to Turn 1 to sweep past Carlos Sainz and back into the podium places. He is third.
