It's dry, it's not raining but yes it's greasy out on the start/finish straight but then as I look from the start/finish straight across the paddock to Turn Two and Turn Three, I can see where the cars are going past lots of spray being kicked up. At the moment there is no rain but there is another cloud approaching the track from the seaside.

Clusters of rain in the distance as the cars continue to circulate. A lot of complaints from drivers about how they are struggling to get temperature into their tyres with this slow start.

Zhou Guanyu told Sky Sports after crashing into the barriers in the closing stages of the race: "I was just flat out full speed into the barriers so not much I could do there. In the race there was quite a lot going on and I had good positions, we knew we didn't have the pace for top 10.

"I had given it everything I had and for the safety car I was in the wrong position, everyone was on the soft we were on the medium hoping to go long but with the safety car re-start I couldn't really keep the cars behind.

"I think we were quite quick in the wet conditions but I'm upset to finish like that."

They will go around behind the safety car for a few laps, I will be amazed if they get greenlight racing going.

It's going to be a short sharp dash to the end, let's see what they can do.

They're expecting more rain to follow. There's a lot of people feeling this pause has gone on for longer than it should have. They're obviously going to get racing back as soon as they can but if that band of rain hits before they even get out, that's going to put a downer on everything.

Karly: The entertainment playing “I wanna see the sunshine after the rain” at Zandvoort have got a great sense of humour!

Sam: Quite unbelievable that every team apart from alpine didn’t realise full wets were needed. Seemed so obvious and has ruined a great finale

We found over the course of this weekend that the track has dried pretty quickly, it's still fairly humid out there, 85% humidity. It's 15 degrees, it's not a nice temperature really but it is fairly warm, it does dry up fairly quickly as the nature of this circuit here as the crowd continue to enjoy the music from the DJ.

It is lighter, you could go racing in this but I guess it's a case of standing water and those rivers I was talking about running down the sides of the track, we're raring to go out here, the fans are loving it.
