Worth pointing out that we've just had one run in qualifying, Ferrari were on used tyres but Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez in the Red Bulls are 10th and 11th fasted, how often have we seen that this year.

The stewards are going to look at the Verstappen-Tsunoda incident near Turn Four. Max Verstappen has almost just clipped Carlos Sainz as the cars were leaving the pits for these latest runs.

And now he's just had a wobble out on track! It's all going wrong for the reigning world champion.

Lewis Hamilton's first sector is the exact same time as Fernando Alonso, George Russell is purple in that first sector and he's half a second up already on Fernando Alonso, so he needs to keep that pace up now throughout the lap. These Mercedes are looking extremely handy.

Fancy another investigation, Max? Well, the Dutchman has caused Yuki Tsunoda much anger and a radio message laced with blue language as the Alpha Tauri man thinks he's been impeded by the Red Bull. We'll wait to see what the stewards make of the one...

Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and Yuki Tsunoda are the three drivers who have yet to set a time in this delayed Q2 session but is Fernando Alonso going to be the surprise hit of Singapore qualifying?

The track will improve, the temperature is decreasing ever so slightly but we haven't got as many cars going round so it won't be as great. We've obviously got the dust and the spillage down at the final corner, that will probably clear fairly quickly after a few laps.

First time down is Max Verstappen with a 1:32.307 but Kevin Magnussen's Haas is able to better that marker by two tenths. Now Lando Norris and then Carlos Sainz go quicker before Fernando Alonso goes fastest of the lot. A 1:31.835 by the Spanish two-time world champion.

Max Verstappen has been noted for impeding in the pit lane and the drivers who were behind the Dutchman at the front of the queue were not happy. "Verstappen has just stopped in the pit lane," said George Russell. Charles Leclerc noted: "You cannot stop like this, come on."

Verstappen was then asked by his engineer: "Is everything OK, Max?"

Oscar Piastri qualified 17th in the McLaren after being caught behind Lance Stroll's crash. He said afterwards to Sky Sports: "I'm glad Lance is ok, it's a very big crash and it's just a shame we were just behind instead of just in front of it, so it makes our evening tomorrow very difficult."

More drama for the stewards to look over. Several drivers have been noted for impeding at Turns 16 to 19. Max Verstappen was furious over the Red Bull team radio and used the F word to describe his frustration with the amount of traffic, which has just been played out on the telly. Whoops.
