After losing 1-0 to Grimsby in their first game of their walking football campaign, Beechcroft bounced back with a 2-1 win over Walking Football League A (from Bedford) in game two, courtesy of two goals from captain Dave.

The crucial game three against Westcott Vets is coming up....

    Cottingham Rangers Cougars 1-4 Midtown

    Nelson Kumah
    Our reporter on the ground

Kane Jacklin put in a five-star performance to steer Midtown to the Male disability title.

It was Kane who opened the scoring with a dazzling run in the very first minute, and he followed it up with a crisp strike five minutes later.

Cottingham huffed and puffed but weren't able to lay a glove on their opponents.

When Kieran Robson scored a third for Midtown the game was effectively over.

A late rally by the Cougars gave them a glamour of hope, but that was extinguished when Danny Nash scored a deflected fourth to give Midtown a deserved victory and trip to Wembley.

Hackney Jurassics 4-0 Football Unites Racism Divides

    Abigail Payet
    Our reporter on the ground

It might have been a 4-0 score but it wasn't an easy win in the Female Vets Final. Despite the first goal for Hackney Jurassics coming in minute one of the match, the following two determined attempts were met by amazing saves from the Football Unites Racism Divides goalkeeper Sharon Leech.

It was third time lucky however for striker Sharon Hopkins who netted the second goal of the game for Hackney. There was no rest for the two Sharon's on the pitch! They went head to head again and again! For each great save came another goal attempt, until finally Sharon Hopkins took her Hackney team into a clear three-nil lead.

But it was Renee Delacruz who scored the fourth and final goal of the game with fantastic footwork confidently slipping the ball straight past Leech's watchful eye.

    Sheffield United v Hornsea 3G

I'm back watching my new favourite form of football (walking) with Jan Milner from Doncaster Belles. I was hoping for a bit of insight into the game she loves so dearly but the first thing she tells me is:

"That Hornsea kit is a right shocker isn't it"

I mean, I'll admit it's not great but not the insights I was looking for!

With the game underway she starts to divulge some of her knowledge and judging from what she is seeing Sheffield United are the Barcelona of walking football. Beautiful passing, it's almost tikka-takka!

It's 3-0 Sheffield when I left her and to be fair of it wasn't for the Hornsea keeper it could have been a few more...

U16 Disability Final Grange Academy 4 - 4 Bedfordshire FA County Reps (4-3 Pens)

    Abigail Payet
    Our reporter on the ground

This had to be the most exciting game of football I've seen in the FA People's Cup to date! The two finalist teams shook hands before kick off, then it was a battle of goals from the first blow of the whistle.

Grange Academy had their eye on the prize playing a constantly tactical match. Moses Giloon scored a hatrick in the first half, putting Grange in the lead by three goals to nil.  But Bedfordshire FA County Reps would not be defeated without a fight. They pulled it back to a three all draw before Moses gave Grange the lead again! That was until Ayo Mide scored his second goal of the game for Beds FA to make it a four goal draw and take the match to penalties.

It truly could have gone either way. The penalty shoot-out went to a three goal draw and the atmosphere was extremely tense! But in the end, Ethan Gordon secured Grange Academy the winning gold medal!

Both teams can go home with their heads held high for what was truly inspirational play.

This is Bergkamp-esque from Bedfordshire FA against Grange Academy.

Unfortunately it was in vain as his side lost out on penalties in the U16 Disability Final but one to tell the grandkids.
