After a life-changing bike accident when he was just 18-years-old, Midtown founder, Kieran, suffered serious head injuries and was diagnosed with epilepsy.

"Mainstream football was no longer an option for me, so I turned to disability football so I could keep playing." Kieran says.

Kieran entered the People's Cup last year and won his category- resulting in a trip to Wembley to see his first ever professional game.

Now coach of the team, the 26-year-old believes his experience can help inspire his group of young players taking part in the FA People's Cup.

"I tell the players that things like reaching the final of this competition do happen, and if you believe you can do something, you will do it."

Midtown's Disability Championship team includes ADHD sufferer Aiden, Buster- who was left visually impaired after a car accident, and team captain, Kane, who is the life and soul of the team.

"He really puts in a shift." Kieran says, "He's the player you need on the pitch.

Good luck to you today guys!

Unbeaten Dorking Wanderers have been the pick of the teams in the Under-16 boys but the rest of the section was closely fought.

Brocton Falcons narrowly missed out leaving Dorking to play New Mills and Handsworth to play Sutton Coldfield in the last four.

Rachel, mother of Brixton Falcons' (stand-in) goalkeeper Ryan, could hardly bear to watch their first match.

"It's not like me - I'm normally at the front shouting," she confesses.

She needn't have worried. Her lad made some decent saves to keep a clean sheet as they got their Under-16 Boys campaign off to a winning start with a 2-0 victory.
