    Mill Hill 3-2 Portland

Just a few minutes left and Mill Hill's keeper has just made another crucial late save. He has made a number of those in this match. A very good performance from the man all in yellow.

    GOAL - Stunner!published at 15:26 British Summer Time 1 May 2017

    Mill Hill 2-1 Portland

Excellent stuff from Mill Hill's number five to put his side back ahead.

He knocked the ball out of his feet with a nice first touch and shot back across the goalkeeper with his second into the corner. Nice stuff.

Portland almost respond straight away but another good save from the Mill Hill goalie preserves the lead.

  5. goal

GOAL - Portland equalisepublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 1 May 2017

    Mill Hill 1-1 Portland

Portland have the definite height advantage in this game, not that it's much help with the ball not allowed to go above board height.

They've pulled a goal back now though! A curled effort with the outside of the right boot into the corner. 1-1.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 1 May 2017

    Mill Hill 1-0 Portland

    So close to an equaliser!

Portland's number seven hits the far post with a shot when the 'keeper was stranded.

  7. goal

GOAL - Mill Hill aheadpublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 1 May 2017

    Mill Hill 1-0 Portland

First blood Mill Hill. Their striker is played through with a lovely pass and toe pokes the finish into the back of the net.

    Mill Hill 0-0 Portland

Cagey start. Portland had the best opportunity so far in this Adult Male Disability League final but the Mill Hill 'keeper - dressed all in yellow - made a good save down to his right.

Mill Hill against Portland. Mill Hill won 3-1 when these teams met in the group stage so I have them down as favourites.

The East Midland Vets have played football, loved football and lived football since they were kids!

So when Danielle (striker) and Natasha (midfielder) decided to co-captain a team for the FA People's Cup, the other ladies, all of whom have been friends for over 10 years, jumped at the chance to join them.

"This was the first time we had played 5-a-side football together. We went into the tournament open minded and to see just how far we could get", Danielle says.

And far they did go! All the way to the finals today, where the East Midlands ladies are hoping to lift up the trophy for the Female Vets category.

After suffering from many minor injuries over the years, Julie is now the goalkeeper for the vets.

"I've played football since I was knee high to a grasshopper!", Julie says. "I'm always looking to mess around and have fun, but when we're on the field, it's serious.

    Bring on the finals!"
