  10. Oosthuizen up to -4 and share of the leadpublished at 17:21 British Summer Time 11 April 2014

    BBC Sport at Augusta National

Great example of why being able to hit a draw on demand is a huge advantage at Augusta. Watching from behind the 10th tee, Gonzalo Fernandez Castano and Sang-moon Bae both spank beautifully flighted three woods down and around the corner to the left, the ball hugging the tree line but keeping away from "McIlroy country". Up steps Derek Ernst with a driver, but he hits a double cross where instead of a draw/hook he produces a screaming fade and the ball rockets away into the trees on the right, possibly even making the 18th fairway. "Goin' on safari," chuckles a patron with a Southern drawl. A rules official is despatched quickly in case of problems. The wind is getting up, by the way, blowing straight up the course towards the clubhouse. A thin veneer of cloud is taking the venom out of the sun.

  15. Postpublished at 17:09 British Summer Time 11 April 2014

Louis Oosthuizen looks in a spot of bother after finding the sand at 12, but the South African is up and down smartly to save a par. That is one better than he managed after hitting the water on the same hole yesterday. He is one over for the day, two under overall.

Meanwhile Graham DeLaet cozies on right up the rim of the hole on 11 from way out of town. It refuses to drop and the Canadian is struggling to make the cut at eight over.

Thomas Bjorn has a lengthy putt for an eagle on 15, but that means nothing on these teflon greens. He attempt rolls by, via a Shane Warne-sized break, leaving him with too much to do for a birdie. He is one under for the day, level par overall.
