Nothing is dropping for Adam Scott, who pushes a 20ft birdie put an ball's width past the hole on seven. Jimmy Walker, four under not so long ago, has bogeyed 10 to slide to two under.
My man Mike Henson has provided the answer to the Green Jacket question I posed at 20:44. Obviously, the men involved were serial Masters winners Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. Mickelson, the 2004 champion, presented the Jacket to Woods in 2005, with Tiger repaying the favour a year later.
After that shocker of a doubly bogey on four, Rory McIlroy has started his recovery at the par-four fifth. A birdie gets the world number nine back to level par. The overnight leader Bill Haas continues a long run of par golf on the front nine and remains four under.
Bubba Watson, who leads on seven under: "I am not really thinking about the birdies when I am out there. I am thinking about the shot at the time. Some of the fans were yelling, trying to get me mad, but I just kept my head down.
"I'm just trying to hit greens because that means your first shot has to be good as well. I scored better today, but hit the ball better yesterday which is a funny thing.
"It is easier this year than last. When you get here as defending champion it is all about you. Everybody wants to talk to you, the Champions Dinner is all about you and it distracts from what you are trying to do. This year is easier to focus on what you are trying to do."
Just looking at a picture of last year's presentation has got me thinking. If Watson is to go on and win, the Green Jacket ceremony will involve the same two men as last year - Bubba and Adam Scott - only the other way around. Has this ever happened before?
Phil Mickelson pars the 18th to sign for a 73 and an overall score of five over. At the moment, the cut is set to be four over. Lefty faces a wait to see if we will have the first Masters weekend without Tiger and Mickelson since 1994.
Simon Victor:, external 18 holes Saturday & Sunday morning for me! Playing my cousin for the first time ever and determined to win! Hope I play like Bubba!
It is the first time in his career that Bubba Watson has opened a major with consecutive rounds in the 60s. The only players to score more consecutive birdies (5) than Bubba Watson in a round at the Masters are Steve Pate (7 - 1999), Tiger Woods (7 - 2005), Johnny Miller (6 -1975), Mark Calcavecchia (6 -1992) and David Toms (6 -1998). Watson has made nine birdies in two rounds at Augusta so far this year - the record number of birdies in two consecutive rounds at Augusta is 16 by Tiger Woods (2005) and Anthony Kim (2009).
Oh Freddie, just short on the 10th. Still, he takes four for par and heads for Amen Corner.
Jimmy Walker, who was with Bill Haas on four under, bogeys the eighth. At the minute, the question is not who will lead at halfway, but by how much. Fred Couples playing in the final group tomorrow looks like a decent bet.
Fred Couples, the time lord, is on the 10th green. Phil Mickelson is going down the 18th needing a birdie to have any chance of playing the weekend, while Adam Scott, wearing a red T-shirt the colour of his mood, is miles from the pin after his tee shot to the par-three sixth.
Wonderful chip from McIlroy rolls back to within a couple of feet of the fourth pin, so he'll escape with a double bogey. It could have been worse, but he'll still be one over and a full eight shots behind Watson. Adam Scott has dropped another, too. From beginning the day on three under, the defending champion is level par after a third bogey at five.
We discussed earlier in the day how big an advantage it would be for the early starters and it's certainly looking that way. Watson, who was out just before 10am Georgia time, has stolen a march on the rest of the field. What's making it so tricky in the afternoon? Higher winds were forecast, but are the greens faster too?
Rory McIlroy has had to go back at the tee at the fourth, taking his third shot on the par three. Oh no, bad to worse. He's straight in the bunker at the front of the green. He's got his work cut out to escape with a double bogey.
Missing the cut on his first Augusta outing was no big deal for Canadian Graham DeLaet, who followed up his opening 80 with a battling even-par 72 to round off a very special few days.
The world number 30 tweeted:, external "Still the best week of my life."
2014 could be the season of the 32-year-old's life, having recorded back-to-back runners-up finishes in January and February as he seeks a first tour win following a lucrative 2013 when he shot up the world rankings.
Do they cryogenically freeze Fred Couples after each Masters, wake him up in April and tell him it's 1992 again? He's finishes the first nine on three under, four off the lead. McIlroy is still doing his David Attenborough bit in the trees. We can hear his voice but can't see him. "Here, at Augusta, I'm trying to get up and down in two and tame this beautiful beast."
Yet more bad news for one of Watson's big challengers. It's a big one too, as defending champ Adam Scott bogeys the fourth to go back to one under. And what's happened to Rory McIlroy on the same hole? He's in the bushes, looking for his ball next to a boundary fence. He's discussing with a steward and it looks like he's going to get a free drop. Big trouble, though.
So how's your Friday night looking? Are you settled in with the golf for company? Perhaps taking a sneaky look at your phone whilst in the pub/cinema/restaurant? Radio 5 live will hit the air in about 45 minutes, and you can listen here on the BBC Sport website and via the BBC Sport and BBC Radio apps. In the meantime, tell me how you're mixing the start of your weekend with the first major of the year.

Bubba leads by three from Bill Haas, who is quietly going about his business on the front nine. Thomas Bjorn is in the clubhouse on three under, the same score as Fred Couples, who has just birdied the eighth. As I type, Jimmy Walker, the form player on the PGA Tour, misses and eagle putt on eight but taps in for birdie to go four under.
