BBC Radio 5 live are sticking about for another half hour or so and are currently picking apart Bubba Watson's speech, giving thanks to all the organisers and groundstaff who put the tournament on.

We are going to head to the hills for the morning though.

The good people of Hamilton Tailoring Company in Ohio can rest easy for another year. The green jacket is round the winner's shoulders and it has been a whole lot of fun working out its owner.

"I don't think the US Open is Bubba's style of play, but I think if he gets his head around the Open he can be a champion for sure. He can hit it low and has the imagination required."

  4. Bubba Watson's thank you speech on the 18th greenpublished at 00:27 British Summer Time 14 April 2014

"Being a second time champion is outrageous, it's crazy," said the American, going on to acknowledge the inaugural Drive Chip & Putt tournament last Sunday as golf's governing bodies seek to grow the game.

"I think last Sunday was the biggest thing that happened this week. For all the tours to come here, what an amazing week. The tournament this week was second to that. I applaud you all for coming together and doing that."

Daniel: Great tournament a great bloke and the most beautiful course in the world I love Augusta. Congratulations Bubba!

Kyle: Congratulations Bubba. Well played all week. Let's not forget about Jordan Spieth. Played very well but pressure got to him. Future green jacket winner in my opinion.

Andrew Davison: Could've gone badly wrong but he was brave and fortune favoured him this weekend.

Augusta, an exclusive model of decorum, have got a champion who is all emotion and everyman appeal. There is some nice ying and yang about Bubba Watson being the man grinning in green on Sunday evening.

More from Watson: "Jordan Spieth started out hot with a bunch of birdies and so for me to back it up, that helped me get the momentum a bit. This one is a lot different. The first was was almost like I lucked into it. This was a lot of hard work. After giving the jacket back last year, I wanted it back. I told Adam we should just keep going back and forth."

Bubba Watson just about keeps the emotions in check as he is asked about the presence of his family on the 18th green. If you can't get a little blubbery after being handed your young son and the most prized garment in your sport though when can you?

Billy Porter Payne is not missing this handshake after the 2012 shenanigans. The Augusta National chairman presses the flesh emphatically, locking on a second hand for good measure.

Bubba Watson in the Butler Cabin on BBC Two: "I really don't know how I did it. I was telling my caddie coming up 18th that I didn't remember the last few holes. I was just hanging on, just trying to make pars.

Jordan Spieth on BBC Two: "I'm mixed. It stings a little but I pretty much played the whole 18th hole realising what was going to happen.

"It was very close on the back nine. I hit a lot of putts where I wanted to but they didn't go in. To play this course all week without worse than a bogey is something I'm proud of.

"I had the tournament in my hands. I still thought if I got make two birdies coming in I could put pressure on."

The Green Jacket ceremony is always a little awkward, isn't it?

When Bubba Watson won in 2012, he went for a handshake with Augusta chairman Billy Payne and missed! Payne covered the mistake by scratching his nose. Check out this video at 1.44.

Will they get it right this time?

    BBC Radio 5 live summariser

"Well I said Bubba couldn't withstand this kind of pressure and he's really grown up since he won here two years ago. He birdied holes that Spieth couldn't birdie on the back nine. He's top five in the world now, I didn't realise that. I love the way he plays golf. If you put a tree in front of him he gets more excited. He's a beautiful golfer to watch.

"I think those greens might have been the fastest I've ever seen. They had that colour, that little purple tinge to them that makes them lightning fast and scary. Really tough. There were only five scores in the 60s this week.

"Bubba's never had a swing thought. He plays the game the right way, as a game, not a scientific experiment like most of these guys. His feet are facing off the planet."

Bubba Watson pops out of the clubhouse to exchange a chest bump and a fist grab with friend and rival. Rickie Fowler.

Maybe he is waiting while they roll a loop of sticky tape over the champions Green Jacket to get rid of the fluff and dust after a year in the Champions Locker room.

There is no new jacket for Bubba.

"The second major cements your place amongst the greats, it proves the first one wasn't a fluke.

"The course is set up for Bubba. He could have won his first Masters by a long way had he have putted better. I often think the putter is measure of your heart, but Bubba left nothing short today.

"Golf swings are fingerprints, everyone is different. Bubba is probably more different than anyone else."

"It was a fabulous effort from Bubba Watson and he finishes with a 69. The course has played difficult all day and in the back nine he was behind by quite a bit but played good shot after good shot. He showed a lot of fortitude and was too strong mentally.

"Once Jordan Spieth opened the door, Bubba walked right through it. You don't win the Masters once by accident, twice means you can play. It puts him in a totally different echelon in the game."
