  1. Kuchar double bogeypublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 13 April 2014

Kuchar has missed that too! It's a four-putt double-bogey on the par-three fourth. Matt Kuchar is back to four under and Jordan Spieth, the 20-year-old from Dallas, has a two-shot lead in his bid to become the youngest Masters winner of all time.

Oh Freddie, what are you doing to me? Birdie putt at seven wipes its feet but doesn't step inside. What of Matt Kuchar? Par putt at the fourth. Missed, and the bogey chance won't be easy either...

  3. Watson bogeys the thirdpublished at 20:22 British Summer Time 13 April 2014

For the third hole in a row, Justin Rose knocks in a 10-12 footer for par. He's level through six. Bubba Watson, after driving to within about 40 yards of the green, has bogeyed the third. "Drive for show, putt for dough," says the voice to my left. Kuchar and Spieth lead by two.

Ian Poulter, if you're going wear red shoes with blue and white trousers, you have to hole those par putts. Shot dropped at eight. "Oh no," says Bubba Watson as he chips towards the third green. It's an absolute shocker, past the dancefloor, the bar, and thrown out of the fire exit by the bouncers.

Rory on the 12th tee, par three. Dancefloor. Matt Kuchar, the co-leader, has his ball on the plastic thing at the par-three fourth. Back of the green. Still 14 men within six of the lead.

  8. McIlroy to level parpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time 13 April 2014

If the rest of the evening is going to be like this, we are in for quite a show. The sunshine that dominated the first three days is nowhere to be seen, clouds cover the course. Every flag blows with gusto. Rory McIlory birdies 11 from three feet (even getting your approach shot that close is amazing) and is level par. Did you back him each way?

  9. Kuchar to -6 to share leadpublished at 20:11 British Summer Time 13 April 2014

All happening! A minute after Spieth holes, Matt Kuchar chips in from behind the third green for a birdie on his own. Two men on six under, leading by one from Bubba Watson. Hold on tight, it's going to be like this for a while.

  10. Spieth leads on six underpublished at 20:10 British Summer Time 13 April 2014

I arrive with news of a new leader. Jordan Spieth has birdied the second, knocking in a left-to-right six-footer on the second to go to six under. The 20-year-old is currently winning the race to the Green Jacket.

Right, time for Stephan Shemilt to take over. His takeaway order is in, mine is about to be made. Stay tuned.

  12. Westwood to +1published at 20:08 British Summer Time 13 April 2014

Lee Westwood takes a long look at the cup after retrieving his ball on the fourth. I think he has left any chances that he had down in there. His three-putt delivers a double bogey and takes him way out to one over.

Bubba Watson third on the par-five is pretty good, but Jordan Spieth's is better. The younger partner in their duo is up to within ten feet.

Rory McIlroy is off the tenth green with a par. One over as it stands. He needs a streak.

Good camaraderie between the Bubba Watson and Jordan Spieth camps before the off.

Bubba had a long chat with Jordan's caddie (they are mates from the PGA Tour's Bible study group) on the practice putting green, and there were handshakes and back slaps all round on the first tee.

"Love the kid," said Watson. "He's a good guy. Good family. Good upbringing. Love his caddie."

Except for Fred Couples, Bubba will be the crowd favourite this afternoon, judging by the cheers.

  15. Kuchar to -5 and a share of the leadpublished at 20:02 British Summer Time 13 April 2014

Make that a reservation for three at the top of the leaderboard. Matt Kuchar, tiptoeing up on the leaders, has holed his birdie putt on two to move into a share of the lead.

Kevin Stadler, the 'Smallrus' sends one down the chute to move to one under.

Justin Rose is chugging along. A solid par on the fourth keeps him at level par.

Bubba Watson and Jordan Spieth have not produced a decent tee shot between them yet. Watson into the sand at two after Spieth gets a lucky pinball break back on to the fairway as it looks like he might be heading out of bounds.

  20. Westwood back to -1published at 19:54 British Summer Time 13 April 2014

Jordan Spieth and Bubba Watson both go close, but neither quite drops. Par apiece.

Lee Westwood's travails with the putter continue as his attempt for par on three lacks a little drive. He is back to one under.
