Els +5 (15), Mickelson -10 (15)
Phil Mickelson is walking after his putt on 15 as soon as he hits it - and not in a good way. It misses by a margin and bogey is all he's getting here. Back to 10 under, three clear of Soren Kjeldsen who is in the clubhouse.
A par five next though.
It could be a par eight for all Ernie Els cares. A third double-bogey of the deal leaves him five over. The Big Easy will have an easy weekend away from the course.

Montgomerie E (2)
Colin Montgomerie will feel right at home in these wet conditions. Been there, seen it, done it. The 31-time European Tour winner starts par-par and remains level for the tournament.
Z Johnson -6 Scott E (11)
Dropped shot for Zach Johnson, his second of the day, and that drops him out of the immediate chasing pack.
The American bogeys at the 11th. Adam Scott, having earlier dug out his ball from the rough stuff, also drops a shot.
If you are on your lunch and just joining us, we have a tournament on our hands.
Phil Mickelson - who shot eight under yesterday - is playing admirably and at 10 under but a glut of men are three back waiting to pounce.
The best round so far belongs to Chrl Schwartzel who is five under for the day, proof that good scores are out there.
But the weather is set to worsen, posing questions for Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, Justin Thomas and the many others yet to tee off.
If there was a best dressed award at Troon, it would be sewn up right here...
D Johnson +1 (11)
Inconsistent. That can be the only way to describe world number two Dustin Johnson's start to the second round.
He's one over through 11, despite carding three birdies today.
But the seventh and 11th holes have proved costly for DJ, who double bogeyed both.

The early starters have had a huge advantage. The rain looks like it will stop at some point this afternoon but the wind will pick up and get much stronger, so although it's uncomfortable to play in conditions like this it is much better to be playing now than later.
Scott -1 (10)
It's a good job Adam Scott is a big, strong fella. He digs through the thick grass, very much a hit and hope, to hack out into the fairway.
That was a swing hard and hope with all you've got moment.
Mickelson -11 (14)
Z Johnson -7 (10), Scott -1 (10)
It looks like Adam Scott will be reloading on the 11th. He's put his tee shot into bushes and can't find it. Zach Johnson has also gone way right to the same area but he's got his. It'll be ugly from there though for the champion.
I stand corrected, we have located the ball people, we have located Scotty's ball. Whether he can play it or not is another thing. That ball is buried.
Mickelson -11 (14)
Phil Mickelson puts that bogey on the 12th firmly behind him and moves four ahead with a birdie on the 14th.
Lefty steps up and rolls one in to go three under for the day, 11 under in total, and things are looking bright again for the American amid the Troon rain.

Stenson -7 (10)
Keegan Bradley has a heap of luck to miss the bunker on the Postage Stamp. His ball could not have pitched closer but with the golfing gods looking down, he ends up with a birdie chance of 10ft.
His putt on his last hole dropped in the back of the cup, such was the good weight. Again the weight is good here but there's no turn. It's par only.
Henrik Stenson is back to seven under. A crackerjack approach on 10 gave him an easy job. Fully deserved. Stenson has never won a major remember.
Z Johnson -7 (10) Mickelson -10 (13)
Zach Johnson two putts on the 10th to make par and stay three strokes behind the leader.
A few holes ahead, Phil Mickelson tidies up with a par of his own - there'll be no repeat of that stunning first-round 63, but it is still solid stuff from Phil in the rain.

It looks like Phil Mickelson is using a casino chip to mark his ball, which I abhor. It's recommended you should use a small coin because large markers do not make for accurate replacing of the ball.
Kjeldsen -7 (17)
Not a dropped shot anywhere for Soren Kjeldsen today and he's dropped some glorious putts into the hole. This latest with the rain slashing down on 17 is probably his best.
A big swing, a big follow through, a healthy pace and it isn't slowing, dead centre of the cup and that ball is underground folks.
Mickelson -10 (13)
Phil Mickelson takes a three wood off the 13th tee on to the fairway and then shoots to the far right of the green.
Shouts of "get in the hole" from the crowd as the American goes for birdie, but it doesn't drop - begging the question, has a ball ever been urged into a hole through the power of speech? As you were...
