This is well worth a watch.

    Remember that show MTV Cribs?

It is a tiny little bit like that.

But no champagne in the Beef's fridge, just beer and chocolate.

  4. Wild Thingpublished at 18:33

Before there was Beef, there was Wild Thing. It's 25 years since John Daly won the US PGA at Crooked Stick, having been ninth alternate. And there's a 25-year-old kid he owes that win to - Nick Price pulled out a couple of days before the tournament because his wife was about to give birth to Greg. Daly in with a 74 today.

  5. Beef's stroke of luckpublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 28 July 2016

    Johnston +2 (3)

Andrew Johnston tees off on the par three fourth hole to a chorus of 'Beeeef'.

Lady luck is on his side as his 178 yard tee shot bounces off the wall surrounding a pond and lands on the edge of the green, just six yards from the hole.

    Day -2 (17*)

This time last year Jason Day was holding the Wanamaker Trophy aloft after winning his first major.

Fast forward a year and the Australian is in danger of losing his place at the top of the world rankings and says he is "running on empty".

Since his victory at Whistling Straits, he has since finished tied 10th in the Masters, tied ninth in the US Open and tied 22nd at The Open in a season disrupted by illness and injury.

Day, 28, could lose his number one spot if he finishes 29th or worse and Dustin Johnson is in the top two.

And his preparation has been far from ideal.

Day has played only one practice round at Baltusrol after spending Tuesday night in hospital with his wife, who had an allergic reaction.

  8. Bogeypublished at 18:26 British Summer Time 28 July 2016

    Johnston +2 (3)

England's Andrew Johnston has not had the best of starts, bogeying two of his first three holes.

  9. Vegas dazzlespublished at 18:24

Johnny Vegas is three under after 15. Vegas apparently took a few weeks out of his stand-up schedule to compete in last week's Canadian Open and ended up winning the thing, his first title since his rookie year five years ago. Those with tickets to this weekend's shows in Exeter and Plymouth will be reimbursed.

    Which is the real Beef?

At The Open he became a cult hero.

A bearded man who high-fived the crowd and was welcomed to the tee to a chorus of 'Beeeeffff'.

Andrew 'Beef' Johnston was undoubtedly one of the breakout stars at Royal Troon and he brings his unique brand of golf to New Jersey.

The 27-year-old broke into the world's top 100 after his eighth placed finish at the Open.

That came three months after he won his first European Tour title with victory in the Spanish Open at Valderrama.

Last time the US PGA Championship was held at Baltusrol in 2005, Phil Mickelson was victorious to earn his second major.

The 46-year-old has won another three majors since and probably thought he had the sixth in the bag at Royal Troon, were it not for Henrik Stenson.

Mickelson dropped just four shots in his four rounds at The Open and his 17-under total would have have won 140 of the previous 144 Championships.

It was the 11th time the American has finished as runner-up at a major.

  13. Coming uppublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 28 July 2016

  14. Bad start for McIlroypublished at 18:14 British Summer Time 28 July 2016

    McIlroy +4 (16*)

Rory McIlroy had a mixed bag at The Open, starting with his controversial comments about the Olympics, then smashing a club in the third round before ending the tournament in fifth place.

The 27-year-old said the PGA Championship was his "best chance" to win a major this year.

But the two-time champion has had a terrible start.

McIlroy, who started on the back-nine, is four-over after 16 holes, with four bogeys sticking out like sore thumbs on his card.

Play started at midday UK time and we already have a clubhouse leader.

    He leads with a five-under 65.

The 37-year-old's best ever major finish was seventh at the 2014 US PGA Championship.

  17. Postpublished at 18:03 British Summer Time 28 July 2016

And so to Baltusrol for the the US PGA Championship.

The tournament is usually held in August, but was moved for the first time in more than four decades, to accommodate the Rio Olympics, which start next week.

It's fair to say the introduction of golf at the Olympics has not been without controversy with more than half of the men's world's top 10 pulling out citing the Zika virus.

But all eyes this week are on the final major of the year and the big question...

Who will be leaving New Jersey with the Wanamaker Trophy?
