Day two has claimed some big names including Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson.

Leader Jimmy Walker has tied the record for the lowest 36 holes in US PGA Championship history while Robert Streb shares the lead after a stunning 63.

Plenty are in contention on moving day at Baltusrol including defending champion Jason Day, who finished on seven under.

So joins us for round three to find out who will put themselves into contention for the Wanamaker Trophy.

Forget the hype we just gave Kaufman, his chip missed the green, his first putt is short and he in fact bogeys the hole and misses the cut himself.

What a reversal of fortune.

American Smylie Kaufman is on his final hole and he could have a big say in who makes the cut.

A birdie on the par three ninth and those on plus two are out of here, a group that includes Phil Mickelson.

But there will be some big old names going home, apart from McIlroy and pre-tournament favourite Dustin Johnson, who finished tied for 142nd out of a field of 156. That said, it's a quality leaderboard, with defending champion Day, Open champion Stenson and two-time major winners Kaymer and Spieth all lurking.

That bogey by McIlroy at 18 was obviously bad for him, but I believe it means the cut stayed at +2, assuring former US Open champion Justin Rose, former Masters champion Charl Schwartzel and four-time major winner Ernie Els will all be here for the weekend.

Jason Day finishes with a par and what a fantastic round for the world number one.

He is tied for third place on seven under after eight birdies in his 65.

Phil Mickelson with an eagle attempt, I tell you what it wasn't far off. But he taps in for birdie and the Lefty makes the cut on one over.

Rory McIlroy has to chip in for par, he misses and that is the end of his week. A bogey leaves him three over for the tournament and he is out of the US PGA Championship.

Streb drains a monster at the ninth, his 18th, for a 63 and a share of the lead. That's the lowest round of the week from the American, who carded eight birdies.  

Rory McIlroy has a tough lie and proves that fact as his chip fails to leave the rough. His fourth shot is another terrible chip and it is not even on the green.

Jason Day shows how it is done landing it on the green at his first attempt.

Streb is currently second and he's playing to one man and a dog. Here he is pinging one down the middle on 18. Scott moves to three under with a birdie at the last for a 67, Donaldson is in with a 67 for four under. 

Jason Day out of the rough, 276 yards to the hole and he just manages to land on an island of rough between two bunkers to the right of the green.

Phil Mickelson's second shot lands on the green. An eagle chance, but a birdie is most likely.

Rory's second shot, but he turns away in disgust, it lands next to Day's ball but he is not happy.

Rory McIlroy at the 18th, a solid looking tee shot right in the middle of the short stuff.

Jason Day takes an iron off the tee, on a 554 yard hole, but it is one of those 'fore right' shots. Not a good start by the world number one.

Phil Mickelson with a hybrid and it's a good start.

The cut is currently plus two so this will go down to the wire for McIlroy and Mickelson.

Brooks Koepka is in with a 67 for five under overall, four off the lead of Jimmy Walker. It doesn't look like we're going to have a club pro here this weekend, Ryan Helminen bogeyed 15 and is +3, one shot outside the projected cut, which could still shift to +1. Streb has a putt for the share of the lead at eight... leaves it short, he stays -8. 

Jason Day is down for par and he will probably be happy with that after his tee shot.

Rory McIlroy has a 35ft uphill putt for birdie and he nails it, I repeat he has nailed that. A lifeline.

Casual third shot for Jason Day, but it's good enough, he gives a nod and knows he has another birdie chance.

Mickelson wedge shot is on the money, he too has a birdie chance that could prove decisive in making the cut.

Bunker shot for McIlroy, but it is short. You feel the game is up for the two-time champion.
