  1. McIlroy keeps thoughts to himselfpublished at 22:57 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

Rory McIlroy departed without comment to the media after his 75 which finished with a double bogey.

He is off to Belfast now for the MRI scan on his back. The results will help determine whether we see him at Wentworth the week after next.

Playing partner Jason Day also dodged reporters after the defending champion finished with an 80.

Ian Poulter needs these putts to start dropping if he is going to claw back Kim Si-woo's lead, but he has to settle for par again at the 15th.

It's solid, consistent golf from Poulter, it's just flawless from the leader.

  5. 'Perfect' Kimpublished at 22:51 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    Kim -10 (14)

Silence at the 15th tee, only interrupted by a whoosh and a clang as Kim Si-woo slings one towards the fairway.

A chorus of "perfect" echoes around the tree-covered viewing area. Not even a flinch from Kim.

  6. Eagles or an albatross?published at 22:48 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    Iain Carter
    BBC golf correspondent at Sawgrass

Kim's short game has been stunning. He is three under par for his round yet has hit only six of the first 14 greens in regulation.

American TV, meanwhile, are in "double eagle" raptures after Rafa Cabrera Bello became the first player to make a two at the par-five 16th. We call it an albatross.

  7. Back-to-back bogeys for Oosthuizenpublished at 22:48 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    Kim -10, Oosthuizen -6 (14)

Louis Oosthuizen isn't finding it quite so easy to recover from a couple of wayward shots.

He also overhit his approach to the green and, having chipped on to within six feet, was unable to convert his par putt.

Another bogey for the South African.

Kim Si-woo, meanwhile, taps in for par.

  8. Kim recovers superblypublished at 22:45 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    Kim -10 (13)

No green? No problem for Kim Si-woo.

Every time you think he's landed in a spot of bother, he recovers fantastically. He couldn't have put his third shot much closer to the cup if it had stayed on the green.

Deft hands, wonderfully delicate chip and he's back on course for par.

  9. Not much better from Rorypublished at 22:42 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    McIlroy +2 (18)

Pre-tournament, Jason Day and Rory McIlroy may have been two of the names you were backing to win.

The Northern Irishman has had a (slightly) better time at Sawgrass than Day, but has still been disappointing.

You wonder how much of that is down to his bad back?

His four rounds have seen scores of 73, 71, 71 and 75 - as he finishes two over for the Championship.

  10. Kim overhits approachpublished at 22:42 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    Kim -10, Oosthuizen -7 (13)

Louis Oosthuizen hit a 306-yard drive on the 15th to find a meaty part of the fairway.

He gives his approach a little too much though and it cannons off the short grass and towards the spectators sitting behind the green.

Will Kim Si-woo learn from that? No, he fires that approach in and it pitches up off the smooth turf before it scurries down a slope at the side of the green.

  12. Poulter remains secondpublished at 22:37 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    Poulter -8 (14)

Ian Poulter navigates the tricky 14th in par.

He'll be satisfied with that, despite his birdie attempt refusing to drop.

Four to play, two off the lead - will the golfing gods do Poulter a favour?

  14. A wet day for Jasonpublished at 22:31 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    Day +7 (18)

Last year's winner Jason Day has just shot a round of ... wait for it .... 80. The worst from a defending champion at the Players Championship.

His ball went for a swim twice on the 16th and found the water again on the 17th. He scored six-over in just his last three holes.

He finishes on seven over for the tournament. A tournament which he would rather forget.

  15. Oosthuizen bogeys 13published at 22:31 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    Oosthuizen -7 (13)

    Louis Oosthuizen can't follow suit.

The South African left himself with a little more to do than his playing partner and after taking two to get on the green, he two putts to bogey the 13th.

  16. Kim salvages parpublished at 22:29 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    Kim -10 (13)

Is that the first sign of Kim Si-woo feeling the pressure?

The straight-faced 21-year-old breaks into a grimace on the par-three 13th as his tee shot follows a similar trajectory to Louis Oosthuizen's - that's to say nowhere near the pin.

He opts to chip from the fringes, and guides it smartly up to the flag for a simple par putt.

    Pressure? What pressure?

  17. Oosthuizen goes rightpublished at 22:26 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    Oosthuizen -8 (12)

A bearded Louis Oosthuizen isn't too happy with his tee shot at 12, he finds a similar lie to Ian Poulter a few minutes ago in the slightly longer stuff around the edges of the green.

He's one of three still probably in with a shout. Kim Si-woo leads by two from Oosthuizen and Ian Poulter.

  18. Kim holds for parpublished at 22:22 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    Kim -10 (12)

This really is impressive stuff from Kim Si-woo so far on Sunday.

Whenever he looks like wavering, the 21-year-old recovers to hold for par or better.

He gets through 12 at 10 under and with a two-shot lead. 17 and 18 have been the trouble spots for most at Sawgrass, though.

They say it's not over until you're past the island, or something like that...

  19. Poulter frustrated with approachpublished at 22:18 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    Poulter -8 (12)

    Ian PoulterImage source, Getty Images

What Ian Poulter can't do now is let that first bogey of the weekend affect the rest of his round.

"Go left," he urges his approach at the 13th, but the groan that follows tells you it didn't go far enough.

It's on the fringes, and that means he can take to the putter. Much better, it skirts right up to the pin and that should be a simple par for the Englishman.

  20. Kim on coursepublished at 22:16 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

    Kim -10 (11)

What were you doing when you were 21?

Probably shouldn't ask, but not many can say they were leading the Players Championship by two shots heading down the back nine on the final day.

Kim Si-woo finds the fairway on the 12th and then pitches on to the back of the green. Is that going to kick on? No, he's good. It holds.
