  1. Final group at the 17thpublished at 00:07 British Summer Time 13 August 2017

    -8 Kisner; -6 Matsuyama; -5 Day

After Matsuyama finds the bunker in front of the green at the par three, Kisner takes one club more and just makes his way on to the putting surface. It will be a lengthy putt but the stoney-faced Californian is likely to protect his lead.

  2. Bogey for Stroudpublished at 00:03 British Summer Time 13 August 2017

    -7 Stroud (17)

Kisner will not know this but he has the lead again, with Stroud's eight foot par putt at the par three 17th touching the hole but staying above ground.

Day struck the putt so well and it was straight into the hole. That's a bonus and he knows it. That's his third consecutive birdie.

  5. Final group at the 16thpublished at 00:00 British Summer Time 13 August 2017

    -8 Kisner; -6 Matsuyama; -5 Day

What a Day Jason has had, this time he sinks a 42-footer for his third successive birdie. Kisner's long putt rattles the hole but spins out so it will be a double bogey and he shares the lead with Chris Stroud.

  6. Final group at the 16thpublished at 23:55 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    -10 Kisner; -6 Matsuyama; -4 Day

A dramatic start to the Green Mile worthy of Stephen King himself (there's a literary reference for my book-loving beloved). Kisner drops to the edge of the line marking the hazard, his feet almost touching the edge of the water, but he has left himself 20 feet to drop only one shot.

    Stroud (-8 after 16)

Is Chris Stroud's putting stroke even legal? Looks suspiciously like a pivot to me...

Anyway... he knocks his par putt in on the 16th to stay within two shots of Kevin Kisner. But that might all be about to change...

    Kisner finds water at 16

Extraordinary. Kisner found a good lie in the rough at the par five but he has hoicked it straight left and into the lake. His lead is currently two, how many will it be at the end of the hole?

  9. Final group at the 16thpublished at 23:45 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    -10 Kisner; -6 Matsuyama; -4 Day

That's the first "mashed potato" chant I've heard for a while. It's for Matsuyama's drive, which is the only one of the three to find the fairway at the par four, playing 516 yards today.

    Thomas (-5 after 16), Fowler (-5 after 16)

On to the par-three 17th where today's pin position, bottom left of a green surrounded by water at that side, is enticing the players into the drink.

Justin Thomas doesn't hold back, attacking the pin... nice.

Rickie Fowler follows his pal on to tee, eight iron in hand, Ohh RICKIIIIIE! He's undercooked it and sees his ball splash into the water in front of the green. Big error.

  11. Final group after 15 holespublished at 23:42 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    -10 Kisner; -6 Matsuyama; -4 Day

Kisner's eagle putt has a good look at the cup but drifts by the left edge. As Day strikes his putt there is a raucous chant of "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie" which I am not sure Jason would have appreciated at that precise moment. It's not an eagle but - after a Championship official repairs the edge of the hole - it's another birdie.

Matsuyama misses on the left from six feet and he is four off the lead as Kisner holes out, maintaining his record of a birdie at this hole every time this week. On we go to the Green Mile.

    Stroud (-8 after 15)

Co-leader Chris Stroud on the 16th.. second shot...

"Stop ball, STOP!" he shouts as his ball hits the dancefloor. Don't panic, Chris. That's alright.

Half a chance of a birdie for the American.

    Casey (-4 after 15)

Paul Casey, playing with Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas, has gone slightly under the radar today. The Englishman is always lurking around the top 10 of a major and this week has been no different.

He is one under today, leaving him five shots off the pace, but is scrabbling to save par on the 16th.

  14. Final group at the 15thpublished at 23:32 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    -9 Kisner; -6 Matsuyama; -3 Day

A full-blooded three-wood for Kisner and he is pin high on the green in two at the par five. The 33-year-old world number 25 is going to have a very holeable eagle chance.

Matsuyama is short of the dancefloor but Day strikes a majestic iron that lands softly, like a butterfly with sore feet, only 12 feet or so from the flag.

    DeLaet (-2 after 18)

Graham DeLaet's day is done and the 35-year-old Canadian will be satisfied with his shift. He finishes three under, moving him up the leaderboard to two under, thanks to that blistering four-hole burst a little earlier:

    13: Birdie

    14: Eagle

    15: Eagle

    16: Birdie

A couple of pars rounded things off for the world number 117, who has carded one of the best rounds of the day.

    Lowry (-4 after 18)

Shane Lowry's wedge can be a magic wand at times, now he's trying to pull out another trick shot on the last.

The Irishman stabs at a short chip on the 18th green, using his short iron almost as a putter from the tufty fringe.

Ball leaps off grass for a millisecond before rolling towards the hole. Close, but not close enough. Lowry knocks in the par putt for a three-over 74 which leaves him four over for the tournament.

  17. Final group at the 15thpublished at 23:23 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    -9 Kisner; -6 Matsuyama; -3 Day

"All day long" bellows a refreshed spectator. "Ah, finally" is Day's rather more accurate assessment of finding the centre of the fairway for the first time since the fifth. Bizarrely it's first time all three players in the final group have found the fairway at the same hole.

All three are over 300 yards, Day with his longest drive of the Championship at 341, 38 yards in front of Kisner. But who's in the lead?

Rickie Fowler is a popular player among the Quail Hollow galleries. The American drills in another par putt on the par-five 15th to stay in the mixer.

  20. After 14 holespublished at 23:19 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    -9 Kisner; -6 Matsuyama; -3 Day

No mistake from Kisner, another assured birdie. That's a fair old up and down from the edge of the lake from Day, a birdie for the Australian, only his second of the day, and he is back to three under.
