    DeLaet (-1 after 15)

Not just an eagle - back-to-back eagles. Sensational stuff from Canada's Graham DeLaet.

Moments after almost holing his tee-shot on the par-four 14th, he drives the green in two on the par-five 15th and sinks a 12-foot putt.

He's nabbed five shots in the past three holes, moving him up to one under. Whatever he's just been drinking, I want a glass.

  2. Kisner at the 11thpublished at 22:25 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    -9 Kisner; -8 Matsuyama; -5 Day

Could our leader Kisner be about to drop his first shot of the day? he has raced his first putt eight feet past at the 11th.

    Streb (+1 after 18)

Robert Streb looks absolutely devastated on the 18th green. Cheeks puffed out, cap taken off, hands on the back of his head. The sort of body language of someone who has just seen their favourite football team lose a penalty shootout at Wembley.

Two bogeys in the final three holes have seen him slip down the board quicker than a Snakes and Ladders piece.

  4. Final group at the 11thpublished at 22:19 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    -9 Kisner; -8 Matsuyama; -5 Day

Matsuyama hits the longest drive at the 462-yard par four 11th, he's the only one of the three players over 300 yards. Day is in the fairway trap and Kisner is well back, but in the middle of the carpet...and in the lead midway through the penultimate round of the US PGA Championship.

    Stroud (-8 after 11)

Chris Stroud is still sitting on the shoulder of the leaders. Back-to-back pars on 10 and 11 send him on the way home. Not a flicker of emotion on the American's face.

Come on Chris, give us a smile. Watch this video of yourself birdieing the fifth earlier...

Dustin Johnson taps in on the last for a 73. Not been the world number one's week. Running to the 18th tee to beat the darkness yesterday has probably been his finest moment...

  8. Final group after 10 holespublished at 22:11 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    -9 Kisner; -8 Matsuyama; -5 Day

I think we should have a minute's silence after watching that 4x100m relay at the World Athletics. That was like watching Tiger Woods fail to break 100. Fantastic win for Great Britain though.

Kisner putts from just off the green and shaves the hole with his birdie chance, tapping in for his ninth par in 10 holes. Matsuyama's putt to tie for the lead stays up and the Japanese player remains one back.

A full scale horseshoe for Day, it spins right the way around the hole and back out again. Hopefully we will get a clip of that one.

    DeLaet (+1 after 14)

How about this! Graham DeLaet almost cans his tee-shot. On the par FOUR 16th. The Canadian gives his tee shot a thump, his ball bouncing a couple of times before rolling towards the hole.

Is it? IS IT? NO! The ball has too much pace and jumps up off the hole. An easy tap-in for an eagle.

    Smith (+2 after 18)

England's Jordan L Smith has enjoyed a remarkable rise over the past 12 months, climbing up to 81st in the world after winning his maiden European Tour title in Germany.

Today he shot a one-under 70 today, helped by an eagle two on the 14th, and is pleased with his performance at his first major.

"I've loved it, it has been a great experience. Playing my first major has been one of my goals and it has been awesome," the 24-year-old tells BBC Sport.

"I still have to pinch myself to realise what has been happening. It has been a nice journey and I hope to keep going.

"My main goal this week was to go out and enjoy myself and I managed to make the cut. Now my goal is finish in the top 15 and be invited back next year."

    Thomas (-4 after 10)

Justin Thomas starts the back nine like he means it, tapping in a birdie putt to move four under. Nice to see the American wearing a sensible polo shirt and slacks combo. Not that tie and cardigan combo he brought to Birkdale.

  12. After 9 holespublished at 21:52 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    -9 Kisner; -8 Matsuyama; -5 Day

Kisner has a birdie chance from 10 feet but she doesn't drop. He is out in one under for the day at the turn though and is one of only three players yet to drop a shot today. A nice par save from Matsuyama and he stays just the one back.

  13. Day drops a shotpublished at 21:51 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    -5 (9)

Day had an awkward shot with his ball above his feet, which were in the bunker. Another shot goes for the Australian, who played holes 7-9 in nine shots yesterday, but in 14 today. That pound of mine at the sweepstake is very nearly history.

    Oosthuizen -5 (9)

After all that complaining it is a par for Oosthuizen on nine. He's still not happy. As he strides to the 10th tee he hands his club over to an official in the crowd. I'm not sure what he said but I fancy something like "I've whacked this club off a tree root and bent it. Can you fix it ASAP, please?"

    Kisner (-9), Matsuyama (-8), Day (-6)

Uh oh. Hideki Matsuyama has gone on a nature trail. The Japanese world number three pulls his tee shot left into the sand-coloured pines. Me or you would chip out to safety. Not him.

He goes for a full-blooded mid-iron, pulling it round the tree in front of him and short of the bunker guarding the front edge of the ninth green. Tricky up and down from there.

Kevin Kisner, smack bang in the middle of the fairway, knocks onto the dancefloor. Jason Day goes next... slightly left of Kisner and with a low-hanging tree partially obscuring his road to the hole.

Will he bend it around with a pull? No. The Aussie punches under it, leaving him flirting with the bunker just short of the green.

    Kisner (-9), Matsuyama (-8), Day (-6)

Like Day a few moments before, Kisner and Matsuyama both missed their birdie putts on the eighth.

Kisner still leads his playing partner Matsuyama, and Chris Stroud, by one.

    Oosthuizen -5 (after 8)

Louis Oosthuizen is giving his clubs a puzzled look as he hits a wayward iron shot. The South African is now trying to use his thigh to bend the club back into shape. Perhaps it's the one he hit off a tree root earlier?

He marches off down the fairway after his ball still not happy. He's got one eye shut staring down the shaft. I think it was just a bad shot, Louis...

    Rahm (+3)

Jon Rahm has been up and down more than the window cleaner today.

The Spaniard was five under par for the day after six birdies in his first 14 holes - then he fell off the ladder.

A bogey on 15 was followed by double bogeys on 16 and 18, leaving him level par and three over for the tournament.

    Fowler -4 (9) Casey -3 (9)

Ooooooooh. Another crowd favourite is Rickie Fowler and gasps follow his birdie putt on nine which goes narrowly wide.

He's one under for his round at the turn - not bad with the way the course is playing. His playing partner Paul Casey is ticking along too at -3 at the halfway point.
