    R Fowler -8 (16)

Rickie Fowler finds himself in a spot on the 16th green where many have today - the bottom left corner. He's about 50 feet from the pin, but wonderfully-weights his putt to within a few feet. That one is converted by the American, who hasn't dropped a shot all day.

  2. Eagle for Reedpublished at 22:30 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    P Reed -13 (13)

The rain looks to have eased, and that means Patrick Reed can tuck away his Ryder Cup umbrella.

He's been tucking birdies away all afternoon, but now the American has a shot at an eagle from 14 feet... he stands, feet together, and rolls it hole-bound before watching it disappear beneath the Augusta turf.

That was in all the way, and you get a sense Patrick Reed never thought otherwise. He drives his fist into the air to celebrate going four shots clear.

Felix: Good to see the Masters living up to the hype with nearly all the big guns turning up. (other than Tiger) Most exiting Masters in years!

  5. It felt good to get going - Fleetwoodpublished at 22:29 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    Fleetwood -6 (18)

Tommy Fleetwood signed for a six-under 66 that catapulted him into contention on day three at Augusta National.

He told BBC Sport: "Walking off 18 I was disappointed because I three putted for bogey but it was such a good day. I drove brilliantly all day. It's felt difficult to score on this course so to get something going felt good.

"I need to go out and do the same tomorrow. All i can do is try shoot the same score again. If I can get going on that front nine, having watched so many Masters Sundays, it will be a joy to be part of one."

    D Johnson -4 (14)

Now it's Dustin Johnson's turn to bend his knees like he's about to start dancing to Chubby Checker as waits for the ball to drop for a birdie on 14. Unfortunately for the world number one he isn't twisting in celebration. The ball dips left at the last second and stays up.

Meanwhile, just behind him is Rory McIlroy. The Northern Irishman sends his tee-shot down the 14th fairway like a missile. It's hit is intended target: the fairway.

  7. Rahm takes clubhouse leadpublished at 22:27 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    J Rahm -8 (18)

A little tiddler for Jon Rahm to make par at the 18th, he's got the read of this green and knocks it in with ease.

A great round from the Spaniard, he headed into the weekend at one under par and finishes Saturday at eight under - three shots off the lead.

A little flick of the club between his fingers, Patrick Reed likes that.

The American nails his approach beyond the 200-yard mark and it comes to a halt 14 feet from the pin, giving him a shot at eagle from 14 feet.

    R McIlroy -9 (12), H Stenson -6 (12)

Well, that wayward tee shot at 13 in the rain threatened to derail McIlroy's tournament... but he's recovered in style. Rory escapes with a well-made par.

Meanwhile, Henrik Stenson remains on the par trail. A model of consistency since the turn, the Swede stays at six under.

  11. Birdie for Fowlerpublished at 22:20 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    R Fowler -8 (15)

Rickie Fowler ends that run of six pars on the spin with a birdie on the 15th. Not a single blob on his card today. He's back up alongside Jon Rahm in tied third on eight under.

  12. McIlroy in troublepublished at 22:16 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    R McIlroy -9 (12)

Rory McIlroy is tiptoeing around in the azaleas, umbrella in hand and attempting to find his ball at the 13th. He drilled his second, in the heat of a short, intense shower over the back of the green, dropping his club as he hit the ball.

He's found an old lost one, and scoops it up like you or I would to pop in our bag... they're expensive these days.

It looks like he's found it. Will he take a drop? The Northern Irishman is waist-deep in pink petals, and he's going to try and play it.

Magnificent. He pops it out through a pocket of stems and rests on the fringes.

  13. Reed bogeys in the rainpublished at 22:12 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    P Reed -11 (12)

Hang on, this could mix things up a bit...

All of a sudden the heavens have opened at Augusta, it's pouring down and Patrick Reed rushes through a par putt that slips wide at the 12th.

Bogey for the American, who dashes under a huge blue umbrella. Things have suddenly got a little trickier.

  14. Birdie for Rahmpublished at 22:10 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    J Rahm -8 (17)

    Now Jon Rahm's at it.

The Spaniard backs up his birdie at 16 with another at the 17th, popping his approach into the heart of the green and then coaxing a 14-footer home.

He moves to eight under and third place.

  16. Birdie, birdie for Bubbapublished at 22:08 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    B Watson -6 (15)

Was that a little giggle from Bubba Watson? I reckon so, and why not... the American clips on from the edge of the green to within two feet and then taps in for birdie.

That's two on the bounce for Bubba.

  17. Birdie for Johnsonpublished at 22:05 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    D Johnson -4 (12), J Spieth -3 (12)

Slight redemption for Dustin Johnson. He responds to that double bogey at 11 with a birdie at the 12th.

Moments later and it's playing partner Jordan Spieth wowing the crowd. The American finds himself in some woodland, but takes on the water hazard lurking before the 13th green and nonchalantly lashes his approach on to the smooth stuff.

High praise indeed from one of the greats...
