  1. Azinger expects winner from leading fourpublished at 17:13 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2019

    Iain Carter
BBC Sport golf correspondent at Sawgrass

It was interesting listening to Paul Azinger on NBC. Surveying the leading group of Jon Rahm (-15), Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy (-14) and Jason Day (-12), he said: "Those four guys at the top are the ones to beat. I just don’t see any of the top four guys faltering. Rory McIlroy is just too good. If he drives it in the fairway, he’s going to be hard to beat. Rahm has never felt anything like this. It will be a real experience for him.”

  4. The unofficial fifth majorpublished at 17:07 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2019

As I alluded to a moment ago, the Players Championship is pretty special.

I know it's not really a major despite being regarded as the unofficial 'fifth major' but the world's best rock up every year at Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida for this one.

And of course then there's the prize money with a whopping $2,250,000 (around £1.69m) for the winner coming out of an overall purse of $12,500,000 (around £9.5m).

  5. Good eveningpublished at 16:59 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2019

    Good evening.

Welcome to our final round coverage of golf's unofficial 'fifth major' - the Players Championship at Sawgrass.

Tommy Fleetwood and Rory McIlroy head the British challenge, tied in second, a shot behind the overnight leader, Spain's Jon Rahm.

I can't wait to see how this one is going to play out.
