Tiger Woods and Tony Finau both go with a four iron... but Tiger and Tony (when golfers combine to make a cereal character) have differing fortunes.

Woods is short of the green, while Finau - a man who lumps the ball like he's had three bowls of cereal before a round - goes just off the back of the green.

Molinari, who went with a fairway hybrid, is also on the dancefloor.

    Par 3, 240 yards

Probably a long iron needed here and a little bit of nous to negotiate bunkers to the front right and left of the green.

The slope on the green runs from back to the front and while it was originally shaped like a boomerang it's got a touch more depth these days.

The weather is dull, hot and humid. The weather radar shows a storm 18 miles away at the moment but it is tip-toeing closer like the Day of the Triffids.

    Mickelson -8 (7) Koepka -11 (4)

Brooks Koepka, a muscle of a man, shows nice touch on four to roll home his par.

Phil Mickelson looks for three birdies in a row but that stroke was never in at any stage. He leaves the seventh at eight under.

  8. 'Tiger has been very lucky'published at 15:15 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Peter Alliss
BBC Sport commentator at Augusta National

Tiger Woods was in the bushes on at least three occasions on Saturday. But players tend to forget that. He's been very lucky.

Whether you are a fan of his or not, if Tiger should win it will be a remarkable achievement considering all the physical problems he's had over the last few years.

  9. Birdie for Woodspublished at 15:15 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Molinari -13, Woods -12, Finau -11 (3)

Molinari, like a true Italian, goes all catenaccio on us. Franco Baresi would be proud.

His birdie putt off the fringe is short, tapping in for a score draw against the third.

Over to Tiger for birdie... you can hear silence... until Woods sends the ball south! That's the first birdie of the day in the final group and it goes on the card of the 14-time major champion.

Back to the leaders.... Tony Finau sticks with the driver, spanking his tee shot about 40 yards short of the third green.

Francesco Molinari and Tiger Woods are much further back after taking less... that doesn't worry the Italian who takes on the flag - in the tight left corner today - from 141 yards.

Ball bounces pin high and rests just on the back fringe. Woods follows suit, but the result much better,, five feet between ball and birdie.

Finau goes over the back, knocking close for what should be a par.

  11. Two drops...published at 15:10 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Oosthuizen -8 (5) Kuchar -8 (4)

Louis Oosthuizen and Matt Kuchar take painful slips down the leaderboard. Oosthuizen lags a putt up on five but leaves himself too much to tidy up. Kuchar goes through the back of the par-three fourth and can't get up and down. Hand them over lads, those shots aren't yours any more.

  12. Watch: 'What a shot!' - DeChambeau hits hole-in-onepublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Hats off to Bryson DeChambeau...

  13. Postpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Oosthuizen -9, D Johnson -7, Fowler -8 (4)

Rickie Fowler, looking very 70s TV cop drama with his freshly-shaved 'tasche, looks to handcuff the fifth hole with a delightful approach. The American lands on the table top, with a birdie on the dinner plate.

Louis Oosthuizen, part of his 'squad', has a monster birdie putt... leaves it stomach-churningly short.

  14. Birdie Mickelson!published at 15:05 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Poulter -8 (3) Mickelson -8 (6)

Phil Mickelson played s stupendous approach on five for a birdie and he adds another on six - a par three. Gets him to eight under and he clenches the fist as if belief runs through him.

On the third Ian Poulter admirably holes one up the hill to save par... that was maybe 10ft and not easy given he struggled on the last hole. He knew that was in as soon as he hit it as he marched forward.

  15. Pars all round... againpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Molinari -13, Woods -11, Finau -11 (2)

Frankie for his birdie... whistles past the left lip.

Tiger's turn to save par... nerves of steel.

Two very different holes for two of the main protagonists... but the same result.

  16. Postpublished at 14:58 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Molinari -13, Woods -11, Finau -11 (1)

Tiger's eyes stalk his prey - which lies dormant about 50 feet away. Plenty of pace, but not too much, decent effort. A short one - which he struggled with over the first two days - for a par...

Finau for birdie... goes right, stays right.

  18. Postpublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Molinari -13, Woods -11, Finau -11 (1)

Francesco Molinari always looks a little bit like he's non-plussed. The Open champ teases a chip holewards on the par-five second, although he's seven feet below the hole for his birdie.

Finau goes for the top bin, hoping to run back down the slope. Little movement though and that's a quick one back...

  19. Bogey and birdie...published at 14:54 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Schauffele -9 (3) Koepka -11 (2)

If Ian Poulter's bogey on two wasn't tough enough to take, he watches Brooks Koepka confidently massage home a birdie putt, moving him two off the lead.

These are interesting times as the pack shuffle. Xander Schauffele will give one back after a dire wedge into the third green hit a slope and rolled back to his feet. In fairness,he nearly holes his second effort but it lips out. The putt to follow breaks right and that's him back to nine under.

Koepka pumps his tee shot into the woods on three.

  20. 'He overcooked it'published at 14:52 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Molinari -13, Woods -11, Finau -11 (1)

    Andrew Magee
PGA Tour winner on BBC Radio 5 live

Tiger Woods knows that the par five is the best way for him to make an easy birdie.

He's been hitting nice fades and cuts this week and he tried to draw that drive and he overcooked it.
