  1. Chance to come!published at 16:18 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Poulter -10 (7)

Ian Poulter has a par five in front of him, so a chance to edge close. He gives his second shot the full English. Big, heavy swing and then he just starts walking. It's up there, on the dancefloor but it's a long way from the flag. There's music playing but it's just a toe tapper, like Bruno Mars.

I think Francesco Molinari needs to hit it further up the hill.

But he got it too close to the hole and didn't have that room then to roll it back.

Frankie Molinari has made more saves this week than Gianluigi Buffon. Will he catch another on the seventh? He dinks his third on the par-four seventh past the hole...

  4. Pep's watching the showpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

Manchester City just won. Liverpool - their title rivals play shortly. Asked if he'd now watch the Reds, their manager Pep Guardiola just told reporters he wouldn't.

"Molinari and Woods are playing," he tells them.

Francesco Molinari knows his way around these trees more than Augusta's local lumberjack. Picks his spot and knocks it just short of the greenside bunker.

Over to Tiger, who is sat in the middle of the fairway. Ohhhh, stop it! The 14-time major winner knocks on to the middle of green, sticks on some backspin... and ends up 18-inches from the hole.

He's on the train to Birdie Town. Wherever you are in the world, whoever you are, you can't take your eyes off this....

    Schauffele -8 (8)

Xander Schauffele started birdie-birdie and then gave three back. He's re-discovering the meaning of life on eight, clipping a wedge to within a foot for birdie. Too far back?

  7. Woods for Molinari...published at 16:09 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

A hook from Molinari on seven and Tiger goes up the middle. Molinari is under trees but the ball runs on a bit so I don't think he's in deep trouble by any means. Andy anyway, if he was he'd just pull out the light saber and sort it anyway.

  9. Woods misses birdie puttpublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Molinari -13, Woods -10, Finau -10 (6)

Woods for birdie... not enough pace. Slides off left.

Molinari for par... nailed it. DO NOT REBOOT THE MACHINE.

    Three different holes, three pars.

    Poulter -10 (8)

    What's this from Ian Poulter?

He hits an iron into the seventh green and he's pulling a face as if he's lapping up love at fashion week. He loves this, he's purring. It pitches and takes a slope to run down to the hole.

Make it count? You bet. Birdie.

Ken could be doffing here. A deft touch from Molinari leaves him within seven feet of continuing his 100% record of up-and-down par saves...

Finau judges his bowling lane-length putt perfectly, but it doesn't strike the pin. He'll be happy with the half strike though...

If Molinari gets this down in two I am going to have to take my hat off.

  13. Tough shot for Molinaripublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Molinari -13, Woods -10, Finau -10 (5)

Finau has got his dancing shoes out, but he's tentatively hanging around the fringe. Tiger, however, is more confident - and gone straight for the in-crowd.

Woods is 11 feet away from the pin...

Meanwhile, Molly is shifting patrons out of the way - politely, of course - as he tries to get up and down again...

  14. Hole six - Juniperpublished at 15:56 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Par 3 180 yards

The second par three hole plays sharply downhill from an elevated tee – so as a spectator you can sit on the slope and see players balls whizzing over your head.

A huge bunker at the front of the green makes pin position pretty important here.

  16. Sand and birdies...published at 15:55 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    McIlroy -6 (2*) Schauffele -7 (7)

Two in the sand for Xander Schauffle on seven. That's not ideal and he walks to eight with a bogey ringing in his ears.

Rory McIlroy gets it done on the par-five second - his 11th hole of the day - an eight foot putt brings up birdie.

Francesco Molinari is a putting machine. The pace of putt shows no sign of twitchiness. He's kept his pace all the way through and his demeanour is perfect.

He is going along like a Galleon on a calm sail.

  20. Molinari saves, bogeys for Woods and Finaupublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

The swing-o-meter has just jolted further across the Atlantic... to Italy.

Molinari is potting easier than Ronnie O'Sullivan. Another up and down for the Open champion after Woods and Finau both miss their par putts.

    Molinari into a THREE-shot lead...
