Big Col (not who Train Guy speaks to) aka Collin Morikawa is set to sink a birdie to join Dustin Johnson and Paul Casey at 10 under.

He's at the par five 10th - where anybody who's anybody picks up shots.

  3. How are Rose and Fleetwood doingpublished at 23:58 British Summer Time 9 August 2020

Justin Rose is going OK at eight under, although he needs to make a big move soon - six to play.

Tommy Fleetwood is three over for his round having started at six under. So he's not faring well.

  4. PAUL CASEYYYYY!!published at 23:53 British Summer Time 9 August 2020

The 43-year-old sinks his putt - he joins DJ at the top of the pile on 10 under.

The last Englishman who won the tournament was Jim Barnes in 1919 - before the internet!!!

  5. Casey eyes the joint leadpublished at 23:50 British Summer Time 9 August 2020

England's Paul Casey sets him up for an obligatory birdie on the par five 10th.

Surrey's finest is about six feet away.

Mark Swain: My prediction is that it’s definitely going to a playoff. My winner is, Cameron Champ (I have a feeling). I’m not predicting who else will be in the playoff though, because it would impossible. Does Iain know what the highest number of players in a playoff has been?

We can tell you that the most for a PGA Tour event is six. For a major...just gonna phone a friend.

  7. Double bogey six for Champpublished at 23:46 British Summer Time 9 August 2020

Cameron Champ's hopes take a big blow as he drops to eight under. He was in trouble from the off when his drive from the ninth tee found the rough.

    Long way to go Champ!

Finance Johnathan: Casey's lag putt there was a thing of beauty. Great recovery from the fairway bunker. With lots of relative inexperience amongst the big names, he'll be dangerous on the back 9.

It took a while before Padraig Harrington picked a winner...but eventually he went for Paul Casey.

  9. What a Day! Aussie moves up to nine underpublished at 23:43 British Summer Time 9 August 2020

Scottie Scheffler has been putting superbly despite not being in the top 150 on the PGA Tour. He seals par from nine feet to remain on nine under.

Oo la la! Jason Day, my tip to win btw, makes back-to-back birdies with a 30 foot putt to get to nine under. And when his putting gets going...

Matthew Wolff misses an two-foot par putt to drop to eight under.

  11. 'If the Ryder Cup was this September, I'd put McIlroy out first'published at 23:37 British Summer Time 9 August 2020

    BBC Radio 5 Live

Rory McIlroy is the world number three but had to settle for two under this week and is still waiting for his first major win since 2014.

Europe's Ryder Cup captain Padraig Harrington dismissed any concerns about his form though, saying: "Rory's at his best when everybody says he's not at his best.

"His career has been like this. He gets runs where he gets in and gets focused, then he has a run where everybody is trying to figure out why he's not on top form. he beauty for Rory is he's seen these ebbs and flows, he understand them, and I don't think he's going to panic about it because it's happened many times in his career.

"If you were trying to predict who's going to be world number one next year, it'd be hard not to pick him. If the Ryder Cup was this September I'd be comfortable putting him out number one and telling him to go do his thing. I'm sure he's not far away."

  12. Koepka back at three underpublished at 23:37 British Summer Time 9 August 2020

Three bogeys in the row for the 2018 and 2019 champion.

His putt on the ninth, after finding the rough and a bunker, is a few inches short.

He probably wants the ground to swallow him - perhaps he'll find some quicksand in one of the bunkers he next visits.

  13. Remember Li Haotong?published at 23:34 British Summer Time 9 August 2020

The 25-year-old from China led by two after the second round before it went all out of bounds for him on the back nine on Saturday.

Anyway, he's only gone and picked up four birdies, with just one blip at the second, to move back up to eight under.

Just imagine eh? He's got four to play.

    WHAT. A. SAVE.

Cameron Champ remains at 10 under - the joint leader with Dustin Johnson - with an 18ft putt for par confidently struck.

Gusty from the man from Sacramento.

  15. Postpublished at 23:28 British Summer Time 9 August 2020

Dustin Johnson hopes for his putt to break left on the seventh but it doesn't. He stays on 10 under. Scheffler's effort also agonisingly drifts wide too. He remains on nine under.

Matthew Wolff, on 13, wastes another birdie chance with a short putt.

Which golfer will go on a run?

  16. Another bogey for DeChambeaupublished at 23:24 British Summer Time 9 August 2020

Bryson DeChambeau has to be careful not to undo his good work - back-to-back bogeys after he misjudges his 50ft putt by about 10 feet.

    He's down to eight under.

  17. 'Winner could be someone who's gone under the radar'published at 23:20 British Summer Time 9 August 2020

    BBC Radio 5 Live

It's still tense at the top of the leaderboard, Padraig Harrington has a theory for the potential winner though.

"At this stage, I'm looking at which of the leaders has had the quietest week," he said.

"If you've had a lot of drama on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, it's very hard to lead every night, to do the interviews and all that. Who's gone under the radar and has those reserves for the last nine holes?

"With Tommy Fleetwood, it took so much of an effort on Friday to get him back in the tournament, maybe it was just a bit too much for him in terms of the mental reserves that are needed.

"Dustin Johnson had a quiet week up until yesterday evening, he kind of got into the lead from nowhere. But there's guys on seven under there like Xander Schauffele. And I'm not saying Matthew Wolff is going to win but has he been mentioned all week?"

  18. Koepka having a shockerpublished at 23:20 British Summer Time 9 August 2020

Brooks Koepka, with a fairly straight eight foot putt for par on the par three eighth, misses. Deary me. Two bogeys on the spin (three for the day) sees him tumble down to four under.

Partner Paul Casey makes par to stay at nine under.

  19. Postpublished at 23:15 British Summer Time 9 August 2020

Wolffy!!! Golden chance to go up to 10 under... it must go in... nooooo!!

Matthew Wolff stays at nine under after 12. Only the three birdies and an eagle in the final round of a major - what were you doing at 21?
