    Madsen & Sagstrom A/S N. Korda & Ewing (10)

Ewing has a chance to move the USA ahead but burns her putt right through the break she was playing and it goes like a rocket beyond the hole.

Madsen holes out to halve the hole and keep us level in the top match.

    2UP Nordqvist & Castren vThompson & Harigae (8)

Has the momentum shifted in this match?

Europe's Anna Nordqvist has a presentable chance to snaffle the hole but pushes at that a little hastily on the eighth green.

Lexi Thompson will get a chance to halve the hole for the US, that she really ought not to have had.

  3. Postpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

    1UP Ciganda & Popov v Kupcho & Salas (9)

A couple of missed chances for Europe to retire their two-hole lead there as Popov and Ciganda both miss their putts having surrounded the hole with some fine approach work.

That's a bullet dodged by the Americans as the European pair trudge off knowing they should be two up.

  4. Noh does it again - Team USA all-square in the last matchpublished at 20:22 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

    Hall & Maguire A/S Noh & Altomare (7)

Georgia Hall with a tricky attempt for a birdie from the fringe at the back of the green - skirts off a little to the right.

Yealimi Noh from around 10ft away for a birdie to win the hole - can she do what she did on the last hole - yes she can!

There goes another bit of blue from the leaderboard.

Nanna Madsen brings this one level at the turn thanks to a fine wedge in that grips and spins down towards the hole with the distance spot-on.

Ewing almost drains her putt that would've given USA a half but when she misses Madsen makes no mistake, walking her putt into the hole with a hint of Kevin Na speed.

  6. Salas chips inpublished at 20:09 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

    1UP Ciganda & Popov v Kupcho & Salas (8)

They’ve been on the receiving end for a while and it’s taken a chip-in for America to get in a blow in this match as Lizette Salas holes out from the fringe of the eighth green.

Salas has been watching Popov banging out the fist bumps over the last few holes so she gives it some back and tries to get the crowd pumped up after that one.

  7. Team USA cut Hall & Maguire's leadpublished at 20:05 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

    1UP Hall & Maguire v Noh & Altomare (6)

Noh holes a decent putt from around15ft out for par and she win the first hole for the USA in this foursome, on the sixth hole.

The rookie cuts the lead set by Georgia Hall and Leona Maguire, and Noh looks more comfortable now, than the pensive look she had over the first few holes.

    2UP Nordqvist & Castren vThompson & Harigae (7)

Right on the money from Anna Nordqvist at the seventh hole. Two fine shots and she's on the dance floor in prime position.

Lexi Thompson now up from a touch closer. Oh wow, talk about heavy handed.

The American joins Mina Harigae in the banking off the back .

Several fans scoot to get out of the way before she comes up and fluffs her attempted pitch back on. Meanwhile, Harigae shows fine touch to roll her wedge in to around two feet. That might just save the hole for the US.

  10. Nordqvist & Castren extend their advantagepublished at 19:52 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

    2UP Nordqvist & Castren vThompson & Harigae (6)

Take it away. A big ohhhh from the home crowd wills Lexi Thompson's putt in on the sixth but it is a shade wide. Still close enough she can pick that one up.

Anna Nordqvist doesn't miss those. Birdie putt. Eight feet. Hole to Europe.

  11. USA lead in a match!published at 19:52 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

    Madsen & Sagstrom v N. Korda & Ewing 1UP (8)

There's not been much to shout about at all in Ohio so far for the hosts, but Korda and Ewing have turned this one around and now lead after falling two behind in the first two holes.

Ewing does the damage on the eighth when she's left with two putts to win the hole and duly takes the two with a tentative lag putt up to within gimme range.

  12. Popov is pumped up!published at 19:46 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

    2UP Ciganda & Popov v Kupcho & Salas (7)

It's another putt from Popov that's completed a big turnaround in this match over the last few holes as the European duo now lead by two.

She is really hyped up for this and as she rolls in the putt there's a big "come on" and an almighty fist pump or five as she marches off the green and on to the next.

  13. Postpublished at 19:41 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

    2UP Hall & Maguire v Noh & Altomare (5)

Leona Maguire has been on fire so far but just lies off to the right from her birdie putt attempt.

No such luck for Yealimi Noh who swings her birdie putt attempt wide and trudges despondantly after her ball as it rolls down the slope.

Now Brittany Altomatre looking to par to tie the hole also misses - which makes things a little tougher on Noh who now has to putt for par - but in it goes from about 10ft out - she smiles - with a lot of relief.

  14. Korda converts to levelpublished at 19:29 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

    Madsen & Sagstrom A/S N. Korda & Ewing (7)

That's more like it - Nelly Korda sinks that putt and drags this match bag to all square having been two down previously.

It also messes up the all-blue leaderboard, not quite any red on there yet but it's not total blue and that should at least give the crowd more to shout about.

  15. Postpublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

    1UP Nordqvist & Castren vThompson & Harigae (5)

Matilda Castren with a chance to turn the screw for the Europeans on the par-three fifth.

The Finn looks ruefully at that one, which she just misjudges allowing Mina Harigae to halve the hole.

  16. Postpublished at 19:23 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

    1Up Madsen & Sagstrom v N. Korda & Ewing (6)

Some signs of life from Nelly Korda as she crunches her drive miles down there on seven and it means she can stick her wedge shot in nice and close.

It's just a smattering of applause though from a very subdued crowd in Ohio - could be because the leaderboard is full of blue right now....

  18. Nordqvist sinks superb puttpublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

    1UP Nordqvist & Castren vThompson & Harigae (4)

Lexi Thompson runs her putt down towards the pin. It's on a slight slope so she'll need to judge the pace on this.

That's a very gentle looking nudge which trickles down and right of the pin.

Matilda Castren has a an effort for par but that goes right as well.

Now for Anna Nordqvist. This to win the hole from downtown and down the hill.

    In it drops. Wonderful judgement.

  19. Home crowd neededpublished at 19:14 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

The Americans are struggling a bit here and badly need their home crowd to get them going...

  20. Postpublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

    1Up Madsen & Sagstrom v N. Korda & Ewing (6)

Korda has a sniff of a chance with a long-range putt on the sixth, but she doesn't give it anywhere near enough beans and it pulls up short. Not really the aggressive stroke of someone full of confidence that.
