Disappointed faces all round for those wearing European colours.
Ian Poulter sounds philosophical as he speaks to BBC Radio 5 live, while Jon Rahm, Paul Casey and Viktor Hovland are all still hanging around too.
After finishing his interview, Poulter walks back onto the putting surface and bumps into Collin Morikawa.
The pair embrace warmly before Poulter solemnly nods and simply says: “Good.”
English A/S Westwood (16)
Lee Westwood is one down with three to play and has just found a bunker on 16. He clips out but ends with a sprinkling of sand flickering back into this face. Fantastic third from the Englishman though and he might just bring this back to all square... he's in for birdie!
Harris English can't keep pace, making par, and that's successive holes for Westy.

There will be time for a longer European debrief, of course.
Sergio Garcia spoke earlier to BBC golf correspondent Iain Carter about his initial thoughts.
“I’m not sure why we lost heavily - apart from they were much better,” said the Spaniard.
The message seemed to be this wasn’t a time for any rash comments. This defeat will need some time for deep reflection and introspection.
1UP Spieth v Fleetwood (15)
Jordan Spieth wants to add a point now, nailing a birdie on 15 to get his nose in front against Tommy Fleetwood. Wins in singles are especially treasured by these players so they're still going at it hard out there.

Still time for some words of wisdom. Collin Morikawa poses for a photo with Phil Mickelson and then hangs on Lefty’s every thought as the pair stay in deep and thoughtful discussion.
Here is winning USA captain Steve Stricker: "This is a special day for everyone here involved, the Ryder Cup means a lot to everybody, your side and our side - we finally put in a dominant performance here. These guys played great, they deserve it, they were fired up to be here and it showed.
"I sure feel like it is (the start of something) this group of guys, we talked about how young this group is, they came in with a lot of fire. They are friends, get a long well and play great. They are willing to do anything to get what they need to do done.
"We took away a lot of the fluff. I don't come in with a big ego, everyone of those players has a better resume than I do, we just try to make sure they have a good time, put them in pairings they enjoy, get them to bed early, rest, they want to work out - it's a different era of golf, they came here for a mission and they did it.
"Padraig is a friend and tremendous competitor. I am always worried about their team. Yesterday afternoon was a big session for us, we had a good lead going in but if they had swept us its a tight match. Getting two points was big and then the guys stepped it up today.
"I thought the fans were great all week, you always on occasion have someone say something wrong, but Wisconsin and our country supports these sports team and I thought it was great."
Finau v Poulter 3&2 (F)
Ian Poulter has wrapped up a 3&2 win but is looking very bleary-eyed over on the 16th.
He has maintained a very proud record in the singles, staying undefeated and winning his sixth match from seven.
But at the age of 45 will this be the last time we see him as a player?

One for the Gram.
Berger A/S Fitzpatrick (14)
These are tough matches to get through now but Matt Fitzpatrick is still plugging away - he does not want to go through two Ryder Cups without picking up anything.
He wants to get a point against Daniel Berger and maybe now the Ryder Cup is won the intensity might just drop a little.
He's just brought it back to all square in the last match.

It’s beer o’clock!
From a brown paper bag with the Whistling Straits logo on, a member of the American support staff dishes out the cans.
One of the caddies shoots his down before Xander Schauffelle, after initially looking reticent, chugs his down.
Can is turned down. Empty. Suspect there will be a few more later this evening.
1UP Johnson v Casey (F)
Dustin Johnson becomes just the third man to win all five points at a Ryder Cup between USA and Europe, but only just as Paul Casey misses a four-footer to halve the match.
Johnson probably deserved that after his efforts all week but that's hard luck on Casey who played well in this match, and pretty decently overall, but comes away empty handed.
One to bear in mind for the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, Rome, in 2023.

4&3 Thomas v Hatton (F)
Justin Thomas has star-spangled shoes on and name emblazoned across his sweater, looking like he's enjoyed a birthday party at Hollywood Bowl.
He makes a smart par on the 15th, and with Tyrrell Hatton down for bogey it means another point added to the ever-increasing American lead. Thomas plays the crowd in celebration!
The flip side of being a winning captain at the Ryder Cup, eh.

Collin Morikawa shares a hug with his parents and girlfriend as he walks off the 18th green.
Bryson DeChambeau does a quick interview and runs down the hill to greenside where Captain Stricker waits.
The pair fistbump and then share a shoulder-crunching hug.
Camera everywhere trained on American red, white and blue.

Andrew Priestley: Fitting that it was the excellent Collin Morikawa who was the man to seal the win for the US team.
Elliot Newstead: Is losing 20-8 root and branch review worthy? It feels root and branch review worthy.
Azrael: #RyderCupUSA team played better than #rydercupeurope . Congratulations on a well deserved victory.
2&1 Koepka v Wiesberger (F)
It was a tough ask for the rookie but he went out with spirit.
Brooks Koepka wins at the 17th hole over Bernd Wiesberger and accepts a beer from the crowd and has a well earned chug!
