    A second water penalty of the day for the Yorkshireman while Homa knocks his second shot serenely onto the green.

    It's back-to-back birdies for Xander Schauffele and he levels his match with Nicolai Hojgaard on the fifth hole. The American knocked it to 11 feet with his second shot and rolled it in after the Dane could only make par when his second came up short of the green.

    The poster boy of Luke Donald's team is a touch off line and it scoots four feet by.

    He knocks that in though and it;s starting to look a lost cause for Morikawa.

    Rose v Cantlay 2UP (10)

    Justin Rose is fired up, or trying to get fired up in an attempt to peg back Patrick Cantlay but even when knocking in a seven-footer it's only for a half in the end.

    Rose is level par for the round today, and although Cantlay is only two under he's made every putt when he had to and kept Rose at arm's length.

    On the 13th tee... Jon Rahm hits an absolute stunner to leave the European fans celebrating.

    A gorgeous iron shot pitches about 15 feet past the pin and screws back to leave him with a short birdie put.

    "Vamosssss!" screams a Spanish football shirt-wearing fan.

    Scheffler has the minerals to respond with a superb tee-shot of his own, although he's about 10 feet out. Gulp.

    It's ideal front-running matchplay golf from Viktor Hovland.

    It's enough to make Collin Morikawa screw his iron from the fairway into the grisly uphill rough to the right of the 12th green.

    Robert MacIntyre takes the lead against self-proclaimed best player in the field Wyndham Clark - as the American makes a bogey on the second following a trip to the rough and then a fairway bunker as he zig-zagged that one.

    The Scotsman is left with a nine-foot putt for the win and in what could be a good sign for him going forward he rolls it in with a measure of confidence.

    There aren't many people watching these final groups though - can't blame them with all the fireworks up ahead.

    European talisman Jon Rahm has gone slightly off the boil, but turns up the heat on Scottie Scheffler by reaching the 12th green in two.

    Scheffler is short of the green after missing the fairway with his drive, but then knocks a chip to put him into a good position.

    A 12-foot putt for the half awaits... but walks off it after a pesky fly bothers him. The crowd don't need any encouragement to crank up the pressure with some inquisitive jeers.

    That unsettles him and he drags the putt left.

    He recovers to chip it to two feet and when Hojgaard can't make his three from just off the back of the green then the American takes the hole to go just one down.

    A bit loose from Collin Morikawa as he leaves his iron short and the door is open for Viktor Hovland to extend his lead.

    Hovland caught the green with his tee shot and duly takes advantage of to get birdie, including a majestic long-range putt.

    Morikawa needs to sink from 16 feet to halve the hole... he can't manage it and Hovland is back to three up.
