Europe regain Ryder Cup
Team USA's 30-year wait for a Ryder Cup victory outside the States goes on - and it never looked likely to end here.
That's despite having so much talent in their ranks and hammering Europe two years ago.
Not sure the US media will take any prisoners as they rake over this one.
Zach Johnson took responsibility for this defeat and how he must long to be in his counterpart's shoes.
It's been a bruising 72 hours for the US captain.

The first player to get his hands on the cup?
It's only the rookie Ludvig Aberg. He's only been professional since June.
Plenty of Ryder Cups waiting in the future for him.

A five-point victory on a thrilling final day. It's hats off to Europe! The Ryder Cup is back in European hands!
Europe regain Ryder Cup
As Luke Donald hoists the Ryder Cup into the air, a raucous chorus of "Championes" rings around the stands and Italian flag streamers billow into the sky.
To a man, the European team are bouncing.
It really has been a wonderful team effort from these 12 players.

More from Jon Rahm, who was part of the European team which was thrashed on US soil two years ago.
"At Whistling Straits we never had a chance and then it comes back to home soil where we have a strong record," said Rahm.
"We have a newer team and we all felt that pressure. To come out today, struggle and win is really special."

Tommy Fleetwood speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: “I‘d have rather not been in that situation! I'm proud to be a part of it and to play a role in what we have done this week. To have that opportunity is amazing and something I will remember for the rest of my life.
"I was trying not to look at the leaderboards as things can change so quickly. Singles fluctuates a bit more. I tried not to look but of course I was always watching. It looked like it would come down to us on the back end.
"I was feeling pretty sick taking the tee shot on 16. It is never nice to watch somebody's ball sail into the water but I still had to set up and hit a shot.
"It is an amazing feeling after an amazing pressure and I am so happy I managed to do it."
The European players start a chant of "two more years" as captain Luke Donald delivers his speech and it's gleefully seized upon by the crowd.
Will he lead Team Europe into the hostile atmosphere of Bethphage, Long Island. in two years?
I don't think you'd find many trying to stop him.

Former European Ryder Cup player Graeme McDowell: "Massive congrats to Luke Donald and Europe. Exceptional weekend of golf. Loved the emotion from Luke. Dramatic last couple of hours but they won this on Friday. Will always love this event whatever happens."

Justin Rose speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "From day one, this team was relentless. In team format we were unbeatable. We never underestimated our opponents. They had a lot going against them, a mighty crowd, so fair play to them. They played as hard as they could and all been very gracious in defeat.
"This is the best feeling in golf when you can celebrate as a team. Nothing comes close to it. Maybe in 20 years time, the major championships will be the most defining moments but there is no moment truly like this."
Luke Donald tells the crowd it's hard to put it into words as he congratulates "12 superstar golfers on the US team."
He then describes "12 gladiators" on Team Europe as his group lift their flags in appreciation.

Justin Rose speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live about tensions with Patrick Cantlay and his caddie Joe LaCava: "Things bubbled over for a short minute [last night]. Joe would probably admit that. He and Patrick have been absorbing a lot this week with the hats and from the crowd. When your player does something incredible on 18, it is easy to get carried away.
"It's cliche but hats off to Patrick. He's tough. Great player.
"I played with Patrick and Joe today and they were perfect gentlemen. I threw everything I had at them today. Patrick is a hell of a golfer and a tough competitor."
The US team are walking down the line of Europeans, shaking hands and dishing out hugs.
There's a huge amount of mutual respect from these players.
Given the congratulations from the Americans, they actually seem genuinely pleased for their opponents.
Patrick Cantlay and Rory McIlroy share a hug too. Maybe that little moment is over too.

Europe's Jon Rahm, who was unbeaten after winning three points from his four matches, reveals how an emotional conversation with vice-captain Jose Maria Olazabal on Friday about the late, great Seve Ballesteros further encouraged him to succeed.
"Seve is so inspirational. Olly and I have spoke at length about what made Seve great.
"On Friday, Olly gave me the biggest compliment - saying 'you reminded me of someone on Friday, with the way you played'.
"I took that to heart and tried to play the same. I'm glad I did him proud."

More from Luke Donald.
On where this ranks in his list of achievements: "This is the best. This is why the Ryder Cup is so special to me and to these guys. We play for each other and we get to share in this success together. We got to spend this week together and will share these memories forever."
On his captaincy: "I gave them a good culture to succeed. Hopefully I laid out a good plan as to why I thought they’d win. Then it was just about getting out of the way and letting them play.
"I’m glad they trusted me."
"Tonight we're going to a free bar."

The Ryder Cup is Luke Donald’s legacy.
Absolutely no doubt about that.

Team Europe captain Luke Donald speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "I am very proud. It really was a rollercoaster today. I have never felt so many emotions.
"It looked good early but then looked like it could be a bad day at one point. Our guys hung in there like I knew they would.
"The first two days were key to us to building our lead. The Americans are so strong in singles but we were 12 strong. Everyone contributed. I just love these guys - you need your superstars to show up and they did.
"Ive put everything into it and that's just the way I am. I have to prepare, try to do the best job I can and I’m just so glad they were able to win.
"I am a bit emotional right now but so happy for these 12 guys that they can remember this week forever."

Atholl: Donald has to start his victory speech by saying "Veni Vidi Vici"
Fleming: Europe could've come out needing half a point for the win and I would still have been on the edge of my seat the whole day. Why does the Ryder Cup do this to me?
Saqub: Another enthralling and intense Ryder Cup match. Great viewing as usual. Congratulations to Europe in regaining the Ryder Cup. A superb team performance and a well deserved victory!
