Only five runners in the Maghull Novices' Chase over two miles in the next race.

Charbel will go off as 6-4 favourite, but that price has been drifting since this morning. Maybe there are still doubts over how well he has recovered from a big fall two from home at Cheltenham last month.

Politologue is the likeliest to make this intriguing with plenty of pace and jumping ability.

There were a trio of jockeys awaiting for the medical all-clear for the big one this morning after falls earlier in the week at Aintree.

Katie Walsh is in. She fell at The Chair on Distime in the Foxhunters' Chase on Thursday, but the x-ray on her injured arm came back all clear and she will be aboard Wonderful Charm.

No such luck for Liam Treadwell - winner on Mon Mome in 2009. He will be replaced by Aidan Coleman on Tenor Nivernais.

But Daryl Jacob - due to pilot Ucello Conti - has been given the all-clear.
