Golden Horde trainer Clive Cox is bursting with pride after winning the Commonwealth Cup:

"It's great to win this race, he's a wonderful horse and we felt he would build this year and he's shown that. It's great for him to get his first Group One at Royal Ascot.

"Everyone back at the yard has done a really good job on him, that's why we get up so early in the morning and work so hard. This is very special and I'm very proud."

Nobel Prize might be going over a mile and six furlongs for the first time but trainer Aidan O'Brien believes that further could be better for the Galileo colt, who will be ridden by Frankie Dettori.

Berkshire Rocco was second last time out to the impressive English King in Lingfield's Derby trial and could be the one for Oisin Murphy and Andrew Balding.

Born with Pride for Tom Marquand and William Haggis showed good form last year and will be hoping to bounce back from a disappointing run on her comeback in an Oaks trial at Kempton.

And Santiago also represents the Aidan O'Brien yard with Ryan Moore confident that the horse is a good staying prospect.

That's a huge win for Adam Kirby. I am not kidding you the saddle will be about as big as a postage stamp. He struggles with his weight but he's very, very dedicated and this will mean an awful lot to get a Group One for his boss Clive Cox. He will be absolutely thrilled.

  13. Pierre Lapin hopes to remain unbeatenpublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 19 June 2020

    1535 Commonwealth Cup (6f)

Pierre Lapin for Andrea Atzeni and Roger Varian comes into this one unbeaten having won twice as a two-year-old last season.

Varian says the horse has strengthened over the winter but softer ground could be a slight concern.

Golden Horde for Adam Kirby and Clive Cox could be another big player. He has more race experience than Pierre Lapin and connections will be hoping he can develop from his two-year-old campaign.

And Irish hopes are led by Lope Y Fernandez for Aidan O’Brien who drops in distance from a mile last time out a week ago at the Irish 2,000 Guineas.
