Shan Blue was well beaten in the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham last month but the horse, trained by Dan Skelton and ridden by his brother Harry, can bounce back here.
Oscar Elite was third in the Ultima Chase at the Festival and on that form could be a leading challenger here for trainer Colin Tizzard and jockey Harry Cobden.
The likes of Tea Clipper and Cap Du Nord also have chances.
Twelve months ago, Any Second Now was well fancied for Grand National success but saw victory chances disappear when badly hampered by Double Shuffle on the first circuit and eventually finished third.
Since then, he beat Escaria Ten to win the Bobby Jo Chase at Fairyhouse, one of the key markers ahead of Aintree, and will hope for better fortunes this year, despite having to carry 7lb more.
The Grand National has been kind to his trainer Ted Walsh who won with Papillon, ridden by son Ruby in 2000 while Seabass, the mount of daughter Katie was third in 2012.
However the jockey Mark Walsh is no relation.

We've asked BBC pundits for their predicted 1-2-3-4 in the Grand National.
First up is Gary O'Brien, presenter for Racing TV and part of the commentary team today for Radio 5 live.
1 Longhouse Poet 2 Any Second Now 3 Fiddlerontheroof 4 Minella Times
Longhouse Poet is the right type of horse for this - was a novice hurdler of Grade One standard, he has a touch of class and is still unexposed over fences.

Around 70,000 spectators are at Aintree today - with crowds back at the Grand National meeting for the first time in three years.
Among them was Laura Gillard, who was celebrating her 30th birthday with friends from Bolton.
"It's been on our bucket list to come here. It's great to come to the races and get dressed up," she said.
"I've backed Snow Leopardess as she is a mother and I'm a mum of two."
There were some showers earlier but now the sun is out, smiles are on people's faces and the racing has been good so far.
It is all building up nicely to a memorable Grand National.
It was a good battle between Sire Du Berlais and Flooring Porter on the run-in.
Flooring Porter had looked smooth but it was a good performance by the winner and could this be a day to remember for his jockey, who rides the well-fancied Any Second Now in the Grand National (17:15)?
1 Sire Du Berlais (M P Walsh) 16-1
2 Flooring Porter (D E Mullins) 11-8 Fav

It's another win on the day for jockey Mark Walsh on the 16-1 shot trained by Gordon Elliott.
And Sire Du Berlais goes ahead on the run-in to win.
