The highlight of tomorrow's racing is the Champion Chase where last year's winner Energumene runs in the blue-and-white colours of owner Tony Bloom, chairman of Brighton and Hove Albion.

Editeur Du Gite carries the red, white and blue favoured by the Crystal Palace-supporting Preston family, while the 2022 Arkle Chase victor Edwardstone is another leading contender.

Corach Rambler "deserves a crack" at the Grand National after becoming the fourth back-to-back winner of the Cheltenham Festival's Handicap Chase, says Scottish trainer Lucinda Russell.

Jockey Derek Fox charged up the inside to see off Fastorslow, followed by Monbeg Genius and The Goffer.

Corach Rambler will now head to Aintree on April 15 and has been made the joint-favourite for the iconic race.

"It's a special pleasure to watch the horse enjoying himself," said Russell. "The track is so stiff but he picked up speed round the corner. It was phenomenal.

"When he hits the front he pulls himself up a bit - it's just magic that you can have a runner here, let alone a winner.

"He will now go to Aintree for the National. He deserves to have a crack and that's the next step."

Jockey Patrick Mullins, speaking to Racing TV: "We'd gone quick but it worked out and it is great that it worked out. The ground was very testing today.

"But it was great."

Trainer Willie Mullins on Racing TV: "We're very lucky to have two winners today. I was having a cup of tea, thinking this is over, I couldn't see him winning until the other horse fell but you need luck. He has loads of stamina but he didn't pick up the way I thought he would. I think the Irish National may come too soon for him. That was a tough race."

Chemical Energy moves into the lead but can't hold on as Gaillard Du Mesnil comes through on the final stretch and it is another win for Willie Mullins!

Mahler Mission had fallen from the lead late on.

Chemical Energy finishes second with Mister Coffee third.

Gaillard Du Mesnil is up into third.

Fakiera pulls up before the third last as Mahler Mission builds up a big lead out in front.

Mahler Mission leads as Malinello falls after the latest fence. Fakiera is right back now as Gaillard Du Mesnil starts making his move from the back.

Early leader Fakiera is dropping back now and just about hanging onto third as they approach fence 15.

Over number 12 and Fakiera continues to lead ahead of Bellatrixsa. Mister Coffey, third early on, is dropping back but the field remains very bunched up.

Everyone is over number nine ok with Gaillard Du Mesnil, the favourite, right at the back. Long way to go.

Over fence number six and Fakiera is around a neck ahead of Bellatrixsa.
