    What a performance. We were worried about him jumping left handed but he took to the fences like a duck to water. He just took off and the way he hit the line so hard. That race is what every jockey dreams of winning. It was never in any doubt from the elbow.

    The noise that greets I Am Maximus as he comes past the grandstands is enormous. The favourite has won, making many happy in the crowd I'm sure.

    I have rarely seen a show of emotion like this from Paul Townend but what a shout and a scream that he gave. He is enjoying every moment of this because I Am Maximus was some winner.
