  1. Postpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Armagh 0-6 Derry 1-4

Interesting one as Derry goalkeeper Lynch is penalised for taking too long and Rory Grugan scores the free.

That came after Rian O'Neill had just slotted Armagh's first point from play of the game.

The Orchard County are hanging in well.

    Armagh 0-4 Derry 1-4

Shane McGuigan might have had a chance of going for goal there but instead he takes his point and fists over.

Derry move four points ahead and Armagh have yet to score from play half an hour into this final.

  3. What a score from Rogerspublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Armagh 0-4 Derry 1-3

    John Haughey

Derry seemed to be running out of steam in that attack but Rogers took the responsibility with that potentially hamstring-busting shot from 40 metres. That sort of long-range effort is not encouraged by managers these days so it was nice to see the Slaughtneil man having a go.

It's probably what I expected - it's been tit-for-tat with both teams mirroring each other. Armagh are doing the same as Derry with five up while Derry were fortunate with the goal but there's nothing in it.

Armagh have really been getting in Derry's faces with swarm tackling reminiscent of Tyrone in their first All-Ireland winning year of 2003. The Orchard men have had to respond to the shock of conceding that rather bad goal but the signs after positive after those two 'mark' points.

That's a big mistake from Ethan Rafferty and it gives Derry that bit of space now. They'll feel more comfortable with their strategy now.
