That's brilliant from Derry, that'll settle them into the game especially after holding on to the ball for so long.

    Armagh 0-0 Derry 0-0

Derry stroking the ball about like it's a training session has been the story of the first few minutes.

    All a bit pedestrian.

    Armagh 0-0 Derry 0-0

Orange v red is never the easiest set of colours to differentiate.

It's been mostly red with ball in hand in the opening minute.

  9. Cassidy hopes to honour grandad with Ulster titlepublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Armagh v Derry (16:00 BST)

Paul Cassidy has said he will be playing in honour of his late grandfather when Derry attempt to retain the Ulster title against Armagh in Sunday's final at Clones.

Cassidy has been one of Derry's standout players during their remarkable run to back-to-back provincial deciders.

His grandad Harry, who managed Derry in the 1970s, passed away six weeks ago.

"I'm playing for him at the minute," said Cassidy.

  10. Derry first out on the pitchpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Armagh v Derry (16:00 BST)

    John Haughey
    BBC Sport NI at Clones

Derry's players were the first out on the pitch as they ran out some 45 minutes before the throw-in at St Tiernach's Park.

Ciaran Meenagh, who is in charge of the Oak Leafers today, walked out behind his players alongside other backroom men Peter Hughes and Enda Muldoon.

  11. Armagh's Ulster quest provokes memories for Murphypublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Armagh v Derry (16:00 BST)

He was one of the greatest GAA footballers of the modern era - and now Michael Murphy is well settled into his role as a BBC Sport NI pundit.

We've thoroughly enjoyed his weekly column throughout the Ulster Championship and, ahead of today's final, he has been discussing how Armagh's quest to end their long wait for a provincial title reminds him if his Donegal side in 2011.

"Winning that first Ulster title was much more than a burden being lifted off our shoulders in Donegal - it was a massive shot in the arm," he reveals.

  12. 'McCambridge natural fit for McGuigan'published at 15:47 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Armagh v Derry (16:00 BST)

    Conleith Gilligan
Former Derry forward on BBC Two NI

Barry McCambridge comes in and I think that's a natural fit for Shane McGuigan because he was Armagh's main man-marker in the league.

  13. Late changes to both sidespublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Armagh v Derry (16:00 BST)

Surprise, surprise, we have late changes to both teams.

Armagh have made two as James Morgan - no wonder we saw him smiling earlier - and Barry McCambridge come in for Ben Crealey and Stefan Campbell.

Crealey did pick an up injury in Armagh's semi-final victory over Down while McCambridge could well be about to attempt a man-marking job on Derry's chief marksman Shane McGuigan.

Derry opt for one change from the programme team as the experienced Benny Heron replaces Padraig Cassidy.

    Armagh: E Rafferty; C O'Neill, A McKay, A Forker; Ciaran Mackin, G McCabe, J Og Burns; J Morgan, S McPartlan; J Duffy, B McCambridge, R Grugan; A Murnin, R O'Neill, C Turbitt.

    Subs: S Magill, B Crealey, S Campbell, R McQuillan, C Cumiskey, C Higgins, Connaire Mackin, S Sheridan, A Nugent, O Conaty, C McConville.

    Armagh v Derry (16:00 BST)

    Martin Clarke

It's quite an atmosphere out there as Ulster final day always is, but it seems to be even bigger today obviously with Armagh back in it for the first time in a while.

  16. 'Why not us?' - how Derry inspired Armaghpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Armagh v Derry (16:00 BST)

Armagh may be going all-out to derail Derry this afternoon, but the experienced Rory Grugan doesn't mind admitting he and his team-mates can take inspiration from what the Oak Leafers' did 12 months ago.

Derry returned to the Ulster summit for the first time in 24 years in thrilling fashion in 2022.

Armagh's wait currently stretches to 15 years and you can read Grugan's thoughts here on how they can bring that wait to an end.

    Armagh v Derry (16:00 BST)

It was The GAA Social with a difference this week.

For their Ulster final special, Thomas Niblock and the crew hit the road to film with a live audience in Bellaghy with a trio of All-Ireland winners in Oisin McConville, Michael Murphy and Eammon Burns.

As you can probably imagine, it's well worth a watch if you haven't already.

  18. Crowds thronging Clones well before throw-inpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 14 May 2023

    Armagh v Derry (16:00 BST)

    John Haughey
    BBC Sport NI at Clones

It's Ulster Final day in Clones alright. Crowds of supporters in both sets of colours were thronging Fermanagh Street as we had to weave our way through the mass of bodies before making our way up the hill towards St Tiernach's Park some three hours before the throw-in.

And yes.........with the time honoured wafts of well-done burgers and onions punctuating our journey.

A very unscientific glance down the street suggested that the orange and white seemed to be breaking just about even with the red and white.

The fans have turned out in force.
