    Track Cycling: Men's sprint semi-finals

    Chris Boardman
Olympic cycling champion on BBC TV

Remarkable from Callum Skinner, ridden from the front. That was the best sprint we have seen from him in that series.

He just had the power when it mattered. He is a man with nothing to lose and what a time to produce the sprint of his life.

That was very cool, calm and controlled from Skinner. He rode that wonderfully.

Skinner wins! Leading at the bell, he had the speed to keep Glaetzer at bay. Skinner is 1-0 up, Jason Kenny is 1-0 down.

I actually think Jason was a tiny bit complacent there.

I don't think it will happen again.

That was a little mistake, we're allowed one.

Is that a shock? Kenny lags behind Denis Dmitriev, the Russian taking the lead in the drag race on the final bend. The three-time gold medalist has work to do. Best of three, remember...

If the race had been another metre or two longer, I think James would have taken gold. It was a massive detour she had to take to get around the rest of the field.

    Track Cycling: Women's keirin final

    Chris Boardman
Olympic cycling champion on BBC TV

Becky James had to come such a long way around, she had to come around every person.

The coaches are very happy for her and in this event you have to be in the hunt and hope it goes your way.

A silver medal is nothing to be sneezed at and she has to be pleased with that. Her family are delighted she is back racing. She is a very popular rider in the British team.

If you told Becky James she would be winning silver at Rio I don't think she would have been able able to believe it.

It has been an incredible comeback after the injury and illness.

Silver for Becky James! She had to do it the hard way, coming from miles behind and right around the outside. In the end, she was barely behind the Netherlands' Elis Ligtlee, only 0.033 seconds. Anna Meares, the awesome Aussie, takes bronze.
