Obviously we wouldn't wish it on anyone, but if one or two tumble, as they did in the semis, then a GB medal could be on the cards.

    Go well...

If you were Kendra Harrison - clearly the best at this event in the world - would you watch this race live? Or would it be too painful?

I think I'd try and blank it out. Likely Lads style.

A time of 12.35 was needed to win this race four years ago. Sally Pearson set an Olympic record in London. Let's get it broken.

Also added to the missing list for the women's 100m hurdles is  world champion from 2015 Danielle Williams, who hit a barrier in the Jamaican trials and finished last.

    Women's 100m hurdles

Arguably the two best hurdlers in the world aren't in Rio - so it's all opened up.

Australian defending champ Sally Pearson missed the Games after tearing her hamstring earlier this summer, while new world record holder Kendra Harrison somehow managed not to qualify at all.

Harrison broke a 28-year-old world record in London last month, clocking 12.20 seconds at the London Anniversary Games.

She has run six of the fastest seven times this year, but only finished sixth in the US trials after clipping a hurdle. Brutal.

Dina Asher-Smith: "I am really happy, especially after a shaky qualification. I think I still could have done a bit better but I can't be disappointed with that. It is a learning curve and hopefully I'll have more world championships and Olympics to get it right. I am just happy to be here, healthy and running close to my PB."

    Michael Johnson
Four-time Olympic gold medallist athlete on BBC One

Elaine Thompson never focused on the competition, just her own race. Very efficient but ultimately there was never ever any competition for Elaine.

Dina ran very well knowing she would not be able to compete with the medallists, she just ran her race. She was running for time and she just let the race come to her. I am very impressed with that. It was a good race by her and will certainly give her confidence for the future.

That was a very odd reaction from Elaine Thompson. She only seemed to acknowledge her win when it came up on the big screen some 40 seconds or so later. And it wasn't a photo finish. Comfortable win.
