The boxing crowd have raised the noise a bit for another chapter in an age old rivalry between the USA and Cuba.

The men's bantamweight final is under way and there's plenty of support for American Shakur Stevenson and Cuban Robeisy Ramirez.

    Nicola Adams

So good you want to bounce on the spot and mount the ropes.

Nicola Adams was head and shoulders above her opponent there and in truth she's head and shoulders above anyone in her field on any given day, maybe even with one arm tied behind her back.

Nicky was counter punching and being patient, picking her shots wisely.

No fight in an Olympic final is easy. The margins aren’t far apart they are two elite boxers and it was a very good fight.

Great Britain's Nicola Adams on BBC One: "The gold rush continues. I can't believe it I am now officially our most accomplished amateur boxer ever and it is such an amazing feeling.

"It is well up there (compared with London). They are both on the same level. It takes a lot to win an Olympic medal and I would just like to thank everybody."

Nicola Adams wins gold on points to take Great Britain to 26 golds at Rio 2016.

But this is a moment that belongs to that incredible 33-year-old woman.

Her instant reward? A hug from Anthony Joshua. There's two of Britain's greatest boxers in an embrace.

Nicola Adams raises a fist and dances on the blue canvas.

She is Olympic royalty. She is remarkable. She is Britain's first boxer to defend a gold medal crown since 1924.

No nonsense from Nicola Adams now - straight jabs to the headguard of Sarah Ourahmoune. Lots of locking up which wastes time and benefits Adams.

A late flurry from Ourahmoune who lands a stonker of a right hand. This is going to be close...

We await the judges' decision. I daren't call it. How are your nerves folks?

This is a good performance again from Adams.

There was some good stuff from Ourahmoune had some success but Adams was counter punching.

Sarah Ourahmoune has to open up and attack Nicola Adams and she's coming out swinging.

Adams misses a right jab and takes a left-hand for her error.

Body shots from Adams have proven useful and she goes there again to restore dominance.

Better from Ourahmoune - she takes round three 10-9 from all three judges. She has something to play for in the final round.

A cracking couple of rounds for Nicola Adams. Halfway through the second she backed her rival right up, punching her repeatedly as they made their way across three quarters of the ring.

There was a jab too which caught the French fighter off balance. She swayed like a toddler on sand.

It is a very close fight but what I am seeing is the French lady boxing in combinations and Nicky is keeping busy and counter punching her opponent and that is what the judges seem to like.

A clubbing overhand left from Nicola Adams has Sarah Ourahmoune reeling to the ropes. The French boxer recovers but Adams is timing her one-two jabs nicely now - in and out, like trying to swat down a fly she's too quick.

Round two - straight 10-9s to Adams again.
