Remember when Jamaica had a bobsled team?

In similar fashion, against all odds, Israel have a baseball team at Tokyo 2020.

Not only is this their Olympic baseball debut, but it is also the first time since their men's football side played at the 1976 Games that Israel are competing in an Olympic team sport.

They face defending champions South Korea at the Yokohama Baseball Stadium at 11:00 BST.

'Immense medal responsibility' for Caseypublished at 10:41 British Summer Time 29 July 2021

    Men's golf

Britain's Paul Casey says he feels an "immense sense of responsibility" to win a medal after starting his Olympic debut with a four-under-par 67.

Casey, 44, is four shots behind first-round leader Sepp Straka, who is a shot clear of Thailand's Jazz Janewattananond in second place.

"I've got to try and deliver as much as I can," said Casey.

"There are other sports which are the traditional - as we would say - Olympic sports we are used to watching, and we are not under the spotlight. But I feel there is an immense sense of responsibility."

Elsewhere, Rory McIlroy posted a two-under 69, as did Open champion Collin Morikawa, while Team GB's Tommy Fleetwood and Ireland's Shane Lowry finished one-under.

You don't want to give your opponent the ability to think - high shots to the back of the court give your opponent options so you want to be quick and keep your opponent on their toes.

Sometimes when you're patient you go slower, Toby Penty is trying to be patient and consistent but he needs to speed up a bit.

We only have one person left in the badminton, Toby Penty in the men's singles, which is probably not what we expected. At the start of the competition I would've said our best medal chances were Lauren Smith and Marcus Ellis in the mixed doubles. When they lost I thought that was it and we weren't going to win anything.

But then Penty won his group, a great surprise, he beat a Thai player who was seeded and is now in the last 16.

Toby's a lovely person. I've seen him go through the junior ranks and he's just a steady person who goes out and performs the best he can every single time. One of those people you love having in the team. He's had a really rubbish few years, he got diagnosed with alopecia in 2018 so he's had some struggles, and also trying to qualify for the Olympics and in the middle of a pandemic.

If anyone deserves to go out and have a fantastic Olympics it's him, he really deserves it.

Wilson's 34 points puts her out of reach of fourth place and firmly in contention for a gold medal.
