Double Olympic Rowing gold medallist on BBC TV
This is the strongest British eight that has been put on the water... and being honest they need a medal to rescue [this regatta].
Women's single sculls
Here's how Vicky Thornley's single sculls final developed, as the Briton finished in fourth place - about half a second away from a medal.
Men's eight final
Great Britain have won at least one rowing gold at every Olympics since 1984.
But it falls on the men’s eight team, featuring 2016 fours gold medallist Moe Sbihi, to ensure that record continues.
Alongside Sbihi is Tom Ford, Josh Bugajski, Jacob Dawson, Tom George, Charles Elwes, Oliver Wynne-Griffith, James Rudkin - plus cox Harry Fieldman.
Men's eight final
There's not long to wait until the final of the men's eight at Sea Forest Waterway.
It's the final race of the Olympic regatta at Tokyo 2020, and it's a chance for Great Britain's team to defend their title.
However, a below-par display in the heats forced them to come through a repechage in order to reach the final.
Athletics
GB's Zak Seddon finished 14th in his steeplechase heat in eight minutes 43.29 seconds, so neither he nor Phil Norman will be progressing.
In the discus, Lawrence Okoye failed with his first throw, but in the high jump it's so far, so good for Tom Gale who has now also cleared 2.21m.
The women's 800m heats are around 15 minutes away.
Semi-finals delayed
Maybe not...
There's a delay to the start of the BMX semi-finals as it's raining in Tokyo.
It will not start before 02:45 BST and the officials are busily trying to dry the track. There are enough thrills and spills as it is without a wet track thrown into the mix!
In yesterday's qualifying British duo Kye Whyte and Bethany Shriever comfortably made it through in their heats but we're going to have to wait a little while yet for the action to get under way.
BMX semi-finals
It's finals day in the BMX racing.
In the men's event, Team GB's Kye Whyte's first semi-final run (of three) is about to get under way.
Bethany Shriever is also in the semi-finals and the women's races alternate with the men's.
They reached their respective BMX semi-finals in style. Check this out...
Women's single sculls
Vicky Thornley, speaking on BBC One: "I don't think I could have done anything more. I was confident I could come through in the second half but in the last 100 I just fell away.
"I knew I was racing for bronze, it was about me and the Austrian Magdalena Lobnig, I thought I could reel her back in but fair play to her she's an awesome athlete.
"I've given it absolutely everything I've got."
Men's steeplechase
Steve Cram
Athletics commentator on BBC TV
Zak Seddon is going to finish very tired and like Phil Norman, that will be the end of his Olympic campaign now
Men's single sculls
Following the women's single sculls final, which if you're just joining us saw GB's Vicky Thornley finish fourth, Greece's Stefanos Ntouskos has just set an Olympic record in taking gold in the men's event in a time of six minutes 40.45 seconds.
It's Greece's first rowing gold.
Not bad at all!
Men's discus
Lawrence Okoye is a talented guy.
A former rugby player, who represented Team GB in discus at London 2012 before heading over the pond to embark on a career in the NFL.
He's back after his spell in American Football and back throwing the discus for GB and told the BBC: "Physically I am a superior animal now to in 2012."
Men's steeplechase
A time of eight minutes 46.57 seconds sees Phil Norman finish 13th in his steeplechase heat.
Zak Seddon is up next in heat two, while over in the high jump Tom Gale has cleared 2.17m with his opening jump and Lawrence Okoye is patiently awaiting his first throw in the discus qualifying.
Women's single sculls

To be within half a second of a bronze medal is going to be so disappointing.
As long as she's had the best race in her career, she can hold her head high.
Women's single sculls
Katherine Grainger, watching from the BBC studio, says she is "so proud" of Vicky Thornley's efforts.
She was just half a second away from a medal.
Women's single sculls
New Zealand's Emma Twigg takes the gold from the ROC's Hanna Prakatsen.
But it's an agonising fourth place for GB's Vicky Thornley.
A superb effort from Thornley there, but it's Austria's Magdalena Lobnig who claims the bronze.
Women's single sculls
Here comes Vicky Thornley!
The Briton is well in with a shout for the bronze medal here, can she do it?!
