"Women's park BMX - backflip 360 - so many people doing world's first tricks. It's definitely an exciting time for our sport."

That's definitely called smashing it. One of my colleagues was urging Charlotte Worthington to 'just go for it' on that second run. I think she just about covered that off.

    BBC Sport

A delighted Charlotte Worthington spoke to BBC Sport's Tim Warwood after her gold-medal win:

"It's unreal. I've been dreaming about this for four years and I'm waiting to wake up. I didn't put any pressure on myself but you've got to refocus and take it one trick at a time

"I've not been doing that trick [the 360-degree backflip] for that long so to have a lot of faith in that - I wouldn't have had a lot of tricks if it wasn't for Hannah Roberts.

"A lot of hard work paid off but the hard work has been on myself. The bike is physical but the work on myself has paid off. Huge thanks to everyone back home I couldn't have done it without you."
