    Women's park freestyle final

Charlotte Worthington just landed a backflip 360 early in her second round - the first time it's ever been landed in women's competition (and the trick she failed to land in the first run). This could be a big score. She's in the mix now...

    Worthington's last chance...published at 02:50 British Summer Time 1 August 2021

    Women's park freestyle final

    BBC One

Great Britain's Charlotte Worthington has her final run in a second or two. Remember she fell on run one, so this next run will offer her the score she puts forward in her bid for a medal.

You can watch it on BBC One or at the top of this page now.

Will Worthington go for something huge to shoot for a medal? Or does she just need a solid score on the board to try to nick something? Right now she has nothing. This my friends is her last chance...

"Swimming has taken me on an amazing journey. It's been a tough couple of years but I'm still motivated to come back and keep swimming - for my family, my girlfriend.

"I've got a couple of years left. i thought this was a good year for me but it didn't happen."

What a swim from the Australian, she was like a torpedo through the water to take her third gold of the Games and her sixth medal overall.

Sort of expected that and another Olympic record goes. Simply brilliant.

BMX is savage. Moments after that stunning Roberts run, Russian athlete Elizaveta Posadskikh hits her head... hard. She holds her head for a good while, walks around a bit, mounts the bike and carries on tamely. That was heavy.

    Women's park freestyle final

American Hannah Roberts just threw her bike in a moment of emotion after a truly mesmerising run. It was all too much for her... the bike went... then the tears came... then more when a score of 96.10 was read.

She's top after run one. Remember, only the best score out of a rider's two runs will count. Roberts though may have just won the gold.

We will see. After run one...

  17. GB swimmers to make more history?published at 02:31 British Summer Time 1 August 2021

The year 1908 is something you will have heard a lot about over the last few days when it comes to Great Britain and swimming.

They've won four gold medals in the pool so far in Tokyo - matching the tally from 1908 - while Duncan Scott is the first British swimming to have won a hat-trick of medals since that year.

Scott can become the most decorated British Olympian at any games if GB pick up a medal in 4x100m relay this morning (03:36 BST) and it would also be the eighth Britain has picked up in swimming in Tokyo - which will be the most they have ever managed at a Games.

Oh yes, and Adam Peaty could win a third gold at these Games if the relay team can repeat their world championship success...

    History beckons.

Worthington hits the deckpublished at 02:28 British Summer Time 1 August 2021

    Women's final

    Australia's Natalya Diehm leads....

That was impressive. Next up is GB's Charlotte Worthington.....

Good start, look at the height of that double flip...oh no.

She's down. Worthington's back wheel just clips the top of the ramp and she lands on the deck after attempting a 360 backwards flip. Looks like she is okay as she gets up part grimace, part smile.

Can she bring it back? No, she scores 38.60. Diehm is on 86.00.

Bird on the brink...published at 02:23 British Summer Time 1 August 2021

    Women's 3000m

No joy for Great Britain's Aimee Pratt in her women's 3000m steeplechase heat, she clocked nine minutes and 47 seconds for 11th.

In heat three Elizabeth Bird puts in a super run to finish fifth. The final water jump took a bit out of her and she couldn't quite hold an automatic qualification place. We will need to wait to see if she's a fastest loser.
