Malc: Being in the stadiums when Usain Bolt got 100 and 200 metre world records in Berlin at the Worlds champs in 2009. Pretty special, especially the 200. And Isinbaeva pole vault gold in front of a very partisan Moscow crowd in 2013.
Men's pole vault final
Britain's Harry Coppell has cleared 5.70m in the men's pole vault final as that is well under way now.
We'll keep an eye on his progress.
Men's 5,000m heats
Britain's Andrew Butchart is racing in this second men's 5,000m heat.
Can he get himself into contention?
Men's 5,000m heats
Steve Cram
Athletics commentator on BBC TV
So many runners trust their kick at the end. Great Britain's Marc Scott needs to hope for a fastest loser spot but his time of 13 minutes and 39.61 seconds will be fairly straightforward to get for those running in the second heat to get. He's up against it.
Men's 5,000m heats
Great Britain's Marc Scott finishes in sixth place in the men's 5000m heats.
He will need to see if he can qualify as a fastest loser but it's unlikely.
Women's balance beam final
More from Simone Biles to BBC Sport: "It was [about more than a bronze], it definitely feels a little bit sweeter than my 2016 bronze medal.
"I had to go into training, change my dismount. I pulled out of my other finals just because I wasn't clear to do them. I didn't think I was going to be clear to beam, it just means the world that I can come out here and compete one more time before this Games is over.
"In the other events I physically couldn't twist in the air, I would just keep crashing and I just wasn't cleared safely to do those things. My mind's not there but to do beam I could do it safely, and I went it to training and I asked to change my dismount otherwise I couldn't do beam either and that is what you saw.
"I feel like I am still stuck on beam right now, so it is definitely too early to start thinking about anything, but the next step right now is a gold over America tour which we are holding over in the United States.

Kiri Wood: My greatest athletics moment was watching Jessica Ennis-Hill win Heptathlon Gold in London - I cried buckets when she was on the winners podium!
Women's beam final
Speaking after her bronze in the women's beam final, USA gymnast Simone Biles said:
"I didn't expect a medal today, I just wanted to go out there for me and that's what I did.
"I was proud of myself just to go out there after what I've been through."

We've got a bit of time to breathe so we can finally reflect on that sensational 400m hurdles world record win by Norway's Karsten Warholm.
It was without doubt one of the greatest athletics moments I've ever seen. What's yours?

BBC One
Plenty going on in the athletics over on BBC One.
The men's pole vault final is under way while the heats for the men's 5000m are also taking place.
Great Britain's Harry Coppell is involved in the pole vault.
Daley Thompson
Two-time Olympic decathlon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live
It was an unbelievable 400m hurdles win from Karsten Warholm earlier. A performance of a lifetime.
People were asking what will he do next, but nothing is going to be a leap for mankind like that was.
Michael Johnson
Four-time Olympic gold medallist athlete on BBC TV
Karsten Warholm produced one of the best performances ever. It was close to perfect with speed and endurance. It's not a soft world record either, it's one that has stood since 1992. It was going to take another world record to win that race because he was up against Rai Benjamin.
Should Warholm have a go at 400m? Yes. We have two World Championships coming up and the way he loves the sport I think he would be great in 400m. It's not an easy transition because of the rhythm in the event, but he's a student of athletics.
110m hurdles
Three-time British champion David King sneaks through to the semi-finals by the skin of his spikes.
His time of 13.55 seconds is just about good enough for one of the four fastest loser spots, but only after the judges split the thousandths between him and a number of other athletes who clocked the same initial time.

110m hurdles
American world champion Grant Holloway underlines his status as the gold-medal favourite with a superb run of 13.02 seconds, without a dip. He is streets ahead of the rest on this form.
Jamaican Hansle Parchment is second in 13.23.
Russian Sergey Shubenkov, who won silver in Doha and was cleared of doping earlier this year after it was found that he had inadvertantly absorbed a banned substance preparing medication for his three-month old son, is not on the startline and won't be in the semi-finals. Not sure what's gone on there.

Well done, Pat McCormack, you have done us proud and an Olympic silver medal is a fantastic achievement for him and the GB squad.
