It's very harsh on Katy Marchant. A day ago, we saw someone ram a team from behind and face no consequences at all. It's consistency that we need here with the officiating.

What a shame! Katy Marchant has been relegated. It was certainly not intentional.

Some of the judging in this competition has been curious. She did come down on the wheel a little bit early.

It's a closely packed group, that's a pretty damn sensitive call - it's very curious judging.

Marchant's performance there was so strong, clearly better than the rest.

She got towed through to get into that second position. The moment she thought she might get boxed in, she pulled out and took control of the race. Really nicely done.

There was a hairy moment where it looked as though she was going to touch wheels with Laurine Van Riessen of the Netherlands but both sail safely through.

Two have come in the boxing ring in the last hour or so as Frazer Clarke took bronze in the men's super-heavyweight before Ben Whittaker won silver in the men's light-heavyweight.

Time to see Britain's Katy Marchant, who has China’s team sprint gold medallist Zhong Tianshi in her heat.

In this six-lap event, the riders follow a derny (moped) which gradually increases in speed from 30km/h to 50km/h, which it reaches with three laps to go.

The derny then pulls off the track, leaving the riders to battle it out over a sprint finish.

    You know the one.
