It will be close now because I thought Price won that round.

Women's middleweight semi-final
A decent final round by Lauren Price with some strong raiding attacks, but will it be enough? Price thinks so as she raises her hand at the bell. I'm not sure...

Fontijn is complaining to the referee that Price is holding - that's not cricket!

Double the attack and push the opponent back - that was better
A decent round and a little bit more accurate but has to keep it going.

Imagine fighting someone who you know how to beat because you've done it before, but there's nothing you can do once the bell starts because Fontijn is so strong, somehow she negates every single thing that you do.
That's a fairly harsh warning though.

Price needs a massive final round here...
She has got to be sharper. You heard her coach telling her to go for it.

It's all about accuracy here for Price. She's got to score and she's got to hit the target, but she is getting a point deduction here.
Uphill task now - she's got to up the work rate here.
She's just starting the attack from too far out and Fontijn knows all about that - she's waiting for her and catching her as she comes forward.
Women's middleweight semi-final
Nouchka Fontijn is doing a really good job of controlling the distance and that point deduction is a big blow for Lauren Price.
Judges score that won a 3-2 split for Price, however. Into the final round. A big one needed.

Lauren Price has had a point taken off her for holding so whatever the score is at the end one point will be taken off from each judge.
This is bad.

Price's strength is her speed - speed of movement and speed of hand.
I thought she did a lot better in the last 30 seconds, which may have caught the judges eye.

Lauren Price is very small she could be two weights lower and Nouchka Fontijn is very big she could be two weights bigger.
When they fought in Siberia, Fontijn got the decision and it was reversed on appeal and that's how fierce and close and intense their rivalry is.

The latest instalment of this epic rivalry, played out on a global stage - it's the seventh meeting between these two boxers.
You see the difference in statures - so crucial in deciding which tactics you're going to go for. Lauren Price is usually shorter than her opponents but she has such wonderful footwork.
Women's middleweight semi-final
Good quick feet from Lauren Price, particularly towards the end of the round. Nouchka Fontijn started well but Price found her range and finished well.
Judges score it a A 3-2 split in favour of Fontijn. Onto round two.

What Fontijn will try and do is meet Price coming in and will switch the attack downstairs.
Price will probably need a few feints coming in and then follow with the attack later.

Here we go then! Lauren Price heads on out to the ring for her semi-final with Nouchka Fontijn.
A win away from a fight for gold. Massive.

There's not just history between Lauren Price and her opponent, there's a grudge match going on here...
They've met a few times, where Lauren seems to usually have the upper-hand. One of the biggest fights that Lauren won against this opponent was at the World Championships in 2019 where she took the gold.
Expect Lauren to come out quick, quite hard.
Nice to see some smiles here, particularly from Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Adam Gemili after injury disappointment in Tokyo.

I can't stress how important that clear definition is at the top of the leaderboard for the likes of Ashok and Iname if we do not get that round finished tomorrow. It will revert to the 54 hole total. Currently they're in first, second and third with Korda on top.
There is a chance that they may go on to Sunday's play but Sunday is meant to be even worse than Saturday so they're looking to tomorrow to try and get things done. Tee times will be very early esoecially for those players that are staying more than an hour away, so there'll be some early alarms set.
Women's middleweight
One medal down today and Lauren Price goes for the chance to fight for gold in just under 20 minutes when she takes on Nouchka Fontijn of the Netherlands.
Nice morning for it.
