Tom Daley takes to the board and kicks things off with reverse 3.5 somersaults, scoring 56.10.

That puts him 24th on the leaderboard after the first round, with China's Yang Jian leading the way on 96.90.

Of the 29 divers, the top 18 will make it through to Saturday's semi-final.

The knitting needles are back out for Tom as he waits to dive again.

There are still around six divers to go before we see Tom in the men's 10m platform preliminaries.

The semi-final and final take place on Saturday, then Tom is free to travel back to Dustin and their son, Robbie.

American Nelly Korda leads the women's golf tournament heading into the final round, sitting at 15 under par, three ahead of India's Aditi Ashok and with four currently tied for the bronze medal spot at 10 under.

With bad weather forecast tomorrow, organisers are looking to get the final round under way later today, at 6.30pm local time, with a two-tee start.

If they're unable to complete it, Korda will take the gold.

Can Tom Daley add to his synchronised 10m platform gold by winning title that has so far eluded him in the individual event?

The 27-year-old won bronze in the event at London 2012 but suffered a shock semi-final elimination in Rio four years later.

He has won the event's world title twice, most recently in 2017. Daley won 10m gold at a test event for Tokyo 2020 in May.

The men's 10m platform preliminaries are about to begin, with Noah Williams also competing for GB.
