    Tom Daley, finally ending his long wait for an Olympic gold medal, as he and Matty Lee triumphed in a nail-biting men's synchronised 10m platform final in Tokyo.

    Tokyo 2020 is, so far, Great Britain's fourth best Olympics - and second best outside the UK after Rio 2016.

    Great Britain now have 59 medals following Galal Yafai's boxing gold, with another medal guaranteed to come through team-mate Lauren Price.

    For comparison, Team GB had 60 medals at this stage in Rio and 58 in London.

    Only London 1908 (146 medals), Rio 2016 (67) and London 2012 (65) have produced more medals.

    The 19 golds won so far fall short of London's 25 and Rio's 24 at this stage.

    Left hand straight through the middle, down he went. That's the kind of shot you want on your highlights reel. Punches in bunches!

    His punch variety was exception. It was beautiful to watch. Dare I say he's the best boxer out of the bunch!

    He kept the work-rate up and capitalised on the counter-punches.

    Galal Yafai's gold, along with a guaranteed medal for team-mate Lauren Price who fights for gold in the women's middleweight final on Sunday, mean Team GB have earned their biggest boxing medal haul for over a Century.

    Bronze medals have already been secured by Kariss Artingstall and Frazer Clarke, while Pat McCormack and Ben Whittaker won silver.

    That superb total of six medals achieved in Tokyo is set to see Britain equal their tally from 1920.
