Simon Gleave, head of sports analysis, Nielsen Gracenote: "Tokyo 2020 is Great Britain's fourth best Olympics and second best outside the UK, after Rio 2016. Great Britain now have 58 medals with another two guaranteed from boxers Galal Yafai and Lauren Price. Only London 1908 (146 medals), Rio 2016 (67) and London 2012 (65) have produced more medals.
"Team GB had 60 medals at this stage in Rio and 58 in London.
"The 18 golds won so far fall well short of London's 25 and Rio's 24 at this stage. Two to four more gold medals for Great Britain seem realistic this time for a final total of 20 to 22."
Team GB now have 58 medals in total and with two days of competition left are battling to finish above Australia and the Russian Olympic Committee, who have 17 golds each.
With a couple of days left, how many more golds can GB win?
Laura Kenny became the first British woman to clinch gold at three Olympics and pentathlete Kate French triumphed as Team GB won seven medals on Friday.
Cyclists Kenny and Katie Archibald took the women's madison before French followed up in the modern pentathlon for Britain's 18th gold at Tokyo 2020.
Laura Muir won 1500m silver, with another coming for the men's 4x100m relay team and a bronze for the women.
GB also claimed bronzes in women's hockey and the men's cycling sprint.
With more than 30 gold medals available today there's going to be action almost anywhere you look.
Tom Daley has what is probably his last opportunity to claim the Olympic 10m platform title that has so far eluded him (07:00-08:30). He will also look to add the individual title to the synchronised gold he won in the first week of the Games.
Britain has three athletes in the men's 1500m final (12:40). And after medals for Keely Hodgkinson and Laura Muir, Jake Wightman, who won his semi-final, Jake Heyward and Josh Kerrwill hope to finish on the podium. Kenya's Abel Kipsang broke the Olympic record in the semi-finals while another Kenyan, world champion Timothy Cheruiyot, holds the fastest time this year.
And later today the men's football final (12:30-15:00) features a heavyweight meeting between 2016 winners Brazil and Spain.
Women's marathon
We're very early into the women's marathon with defending world marathon champion and world half marathon record holder Ruth Chepng'etich leading the front group after 5km.
It is 630am in the morning there and already a stifling 28 degrees with 87% humidity.
Punishing.
Hello!
The end of the Olympics is almost upon on us with just two days of competition remaining.
There's little time to reflect just yet, however, with 34 gold medals up for grabs on the penultimate day and we're already up and running in one event with the women's marathon under way.
Let's crack on!
