"He's won the biggest prize in mountain biking already. I honestly expect next year it will be Tour de France and I think we'll see him pushing for top honours there.

That didn't feel right to me. I thought Cheavon Clarke won the last round clear. It's the only round that either of them won clearly.

"I'm going to say it now, I don't want to kick a man when he's down, but he was meant to win today. In fact, he was meant to win today without too much of a problem. He got dragged into a brawl, he was holding too often, not working enough.

"He's been outmanoeuvred and outmuscled. He's a big boy Teixeira. He can't be far off the super-heavyweight division. He'll be so disappointed. He'll be sickened, he'll be gutted.

"I'm struggling to keep myself together at the minute. The pride to dig that deep at 21-0 down!

"There's a lot of tears being shed at the moment - tears of joy!

"We've got a cracking game tomorrow now in the semis. They're (New Zealand) in great form and it's now about resetting and coming out firing tomorrow.

The thing that is interesting, there are 10 kilos inside this weight division which means you can be at the top of the 10 kilos or the bottom. I would say Abner Teixeira is right at the top of it, and Cheavon Clarke is somewhere in the middle so he's conceding about 10 or 12 pounds. That's a lot of weight to be giving away to a big lump.

    No quarter being given.

Abner Teixeira recovers from a poor opening round to land a flurry of punishing body shots on Cheavon Clarke.

The Briton is dominant on the inside and produces the shot of the round with a big right uppercut, but this is the Brazilian's round.

    Into the final round...
