I think that quote from Jamie Peacock is an apt place to finish.

Yes it was a one-sided final, but try telling Leeds fans to be disappointed with that.

The Rhinos were deserved winners on a day that Tom Briscoe will never forget. His five tries, an unprecedented feat in a Challenge Cup final, secured a record victory for his side.

After 29 years of waiting to reach the final, it turned out to be a match to forget for Hull KR.

We want to be here again. Leeds are the benchmark and we know we have to improve. They need to hold their heads up high - it has been a great team effort to get us here. We will all be disappointed, but they need to put a smile on their faces.

I’m really disappointed. We really didn’t give a true indication of how we've been playing this year. There was bags of effort, but Leeds were just too quick for us in every department today and we let ourselves down in certain areas.

We are not done yet, we have a couple of other big trophies that we would like to see. It will be difficult to get the League Leaders' Shield and Grand Final victory as well, but that is something we would like to do.

It was a funny game because Hull KR clearly have some threats and didn't give up. They have done an absolutely fantastic job getting here - their story is what the Challenge Cup is all about. In terms of defence, the three blokes I thought that had a stamp on that game were Carl Ablett, Brett Delaney and Stevie Ward. Every time that Hull KR tried to do something they were there or thereabouts to shut them down.

The trophy is passed along the line of Leeds players, and there's a special cheer for Kylie Leuluai and Jamie Peacock - both of whom are leaving the Rhinos at the end of the season.

And now the Leeds players climb the steps - what will feel like the easiest journey in the world.

Leeds captain Kevin Sinfield, for the second season in succession, lifts the Challenge Cup.

He's joined by injured forward Jamie Jones-Buchanan, like Sinfield a Rhinos legend, as he raises the trophy aloft.

More reaction on the way shortly, but first, the two sets of players are heading up to collect their medals.

Hull KR look a tired bunch of players. As much as playing in a big final is the highlight of many a career, today is a day that those players will want to forget in a hurry.

What a feeling. It is just incredible. I would have given all five away just for the win today. To get five, I can’t describe how happy I feel.

I wouldn't have predicted this at all. I thought Hull Kingston Rovers would give this a real shake here. They will be very disappointed by their efforts.

    History!

Danny McGuire picks up a loose ball, passes to Tom Briscoe and the England winger dances his way over for his fifth try of the match. It's never been done before in 114 Challenge Cup finals.

    Clinical. So, so clinical.

Kevin Sinfield's goal puts Leeds past 50 points.

    Tom Briscoe (Leeds Rhinos)

It's no surprise that Leeds winger Tom Briscoe is announced as the winner of the Lance Todd Trophy.

Well, how often do you score four tries in a Challenge Cup final?!

  18. try

TRY (Briscoe, goal Sinfield)published at 75 mins

    Hull KR 0-44 Leeds Rhinos

For only the second time in history, a player scores four tries in a Challenge Cup final. Take a bow, Tom Briscoe.

Kallum Watkins is again the provider, and Briscoe streaks clear to touch down unchallenged.

The other man to score four tries in a final? Leroy Rivett, for Leeds, in 1999.

Leeds Rhinos are aiming to win a domestic treble this season.

This is the first leg, and they are well placed to tie up the League Leaders' Shield too, boasting a four-point lead in the Super League table with four games to go.

October's Grand Final at Old Trafford could be their date with destiny.

  20. try

TRY (Burrow, goal Sinfield)published at 72 mins

    Hull KR 0-38 Leeds Rhinos

Try number seven from ruthless Leeds. Kallum Watkins breaks through a tired Rovers line and passes to  Rob Burrow, who races clear to score under the posts.

Kevin Sinfield, no doubt thinking about lifting the trophy in a few minutes, slots over the goal.

And that puts Leeds on course for a record margin of victory in a Challenge Cup final.
