New Zealand half-back Shaun Johnson needs to reach into his bag and find his kicking boots because he is wearing slippers at the moment.

A few kicks through now which have gone well out of play. Not what you would expect from the man who broke England hearts last week.

It looks as though New Zealand are starting to change up their game plan a little bit.

It was all about blunt force up the middle of the park in the opening 20 minutes but now they are trying to come a little bit wider.

We are seeing the Mike Dean of rugby league referees in action. Ben Cummins loves an exaggerated gesture, wafting away the Australian players who were all in a offside position.

He is wearing pink as well so not too difficult to miss.

The Australia half-backs are so cool. There is nothing panicked about them. They are directing people around the field and are keeping New Zealand under pressure.

New Zealand defenders running here, there and everywhere as they look up to see wave after wave of green and gold offence.

Give them credit, they have kept the score down to just 10 though.

Johnathan Thurston is just so good with his kicking, inch-perfect every time.

He chips a lovely ball towards the New Zealand left wing where Gerard Beale collects, but is pushed into his own try area by Blake Ferguson.

    Excellent play.

Australia were so lucky there that Jordan Rapana just got ankle-tapped to be knocked off his stride.

Jordan Rapana does brilliantly to intercept Darius Boyd's pass and gallops 50 metres up field, but Greg Inglis is hot on his heels with an ankle tap to bring the Kiwi winger down.

A try saver if ever I saw one.

Still, the Kiwis are in a good position but waste the chance when Shaun Johnson drops a pass.

Australia are all over New Zealand when they make their way up the field.

I felt that and I am 100 yards away. What a tackle that was from Greg Inglis.

It may well be a little high, he didn't miss.

New Zealand go on the attack but full-back Jordan Kahu wishes he had not.

He collects a pass before being smashed by a Greg Inglis tackle.

    Have some of that.

New Zealand's Adam Blair earns a penalty in the middle of the park.

Blair, the 6ft 2in, 17 stone prop, is in desperate need of a haircut and shave.

Are you going to tell him?

One of the things New Zealand need to do is solidify the middle of the park with two men and slow the ball down.

Australia are keeping New Zealand constantly on the back foot.

Australia look very, very, very dangerous indeed.

Already they have had two line break and a try as well and now another.

That was a really good team try.

    Johnathan Thurston

New Zealand could get a heavy beating here.

The Kiwis just cannot cope with the skill and pace of Australia.

This time Michael Morgan makes a dancing, teasing run before a backhanded pass to Blake Ferguson.

The winger comes inside and passes the ball on to Johnathan Thurston, who makes no mistake with his finish.

    Thurston adds the extras too.

That is a real let off for New Zealand.

They need to be on their toes and jump on everything because Australia are going to give them nothing.

Having scored the first try, Australia break clear in search of their second.

Valentine Holmes is the man leading the charge, but is smashed in the tackle by a scampering New Zealander full-back Jordan Kahu.

Not been Valentine's day on bonfire night so far.
